    I called the shop and asked them hold some other shoes for me and am going to try them on in person. They said the store is down online. So maybe best to call?

    I have the leather version of this shoe and just came back from Iceland trip. Let me tell you this shoe is for real. It withstood walking on shallow icy cold river stream and waterfalls. Practically waterproof for my needs. It is also super grippy on wet rocks. Haven't tried it on wet snow or ice but crampons are required anyway. The shoe is super lightweight and I never felt the weight of it. In terms of breathability, I think this version (non-leather is better) because some parts of my socks are damp from sweat.

    I do have 2 complaints:
    1. The midsole seems to show signs of compression after 14 days of continuous wear (over 2 separate trips). I guess it is normal?
    2. Beach sand and small rocks can sneak in due to the low rear collar design which is typical for mid boots.
