Sounds like landfill then.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Will avoid for the kids.
Yep. This was from reviews, which aren't mine.
We camp and use Naturehike, which are copies of MSR. These are tents for carrying on your back.
"This was from reviews, which aren't mine."
Maybe clarify that in your fist post about it?
Wow how did you fit multiple people into a 1.4m x 2m tent. Kudos for even giving it a go
I wouldn't buy this crap. We use the Naturehike Mongar and fit 2 per tent.
Oh for sure - this thing is a toy. I'm just finding the image of multiple people in this tiny hiking tent to be crazy.
Haven't deployed my bigw tent, was $13 https://www.bigw.com.au/product/nest-seek-2-person-dome-tent…
I had a stockman weekender 2-person tent for about 18 years - different product but similar cheap, simple, kmart-esque design, served me well, no issues. By the end it started to leak around the bottom edges & corners, it had a few rips in the fly and the floor, but after more than a decade of use that's no surprise. Currently looking into replacing it - two of the points the poles attach to are quite frayed, it still works but is quite warped, I'm expecting it to fail completely soon
Being an entirely different product this might not be nearly as good, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy another cheap tent like it again - seen plenty of people's more expensive tents break and/or leak, the biggest advantage to paying $$$ for a tent appears to be keeping the weight down, and often this seems to mean overcomplicating the design with more potential failure points.
Unless you're doing a big hike where every gram matters, my recommendation: Just get a cheap tent, and set it up at home and spray it with a hose to see if it leaks. If you do get a dud, at least you only spent $20, not $300
This tent isn't double walled (i.e. one inside layer and an outside weatherproof layer) so I highly doubt it will be any use in rain. Possibly a valid shelter for a beach day (though they make no claim of UV protection either…).
Only if camping in drought conditions.
The tent is not even worth 1 star let alone 30 euros. When camping with children in the evening, there was a slightly heavier rainfall, in a very short time both tents were full of water. All seams are leaking, it rained like outside, in the end we each had 2 to 3 cm of water in the tent and had to cancel our 3-day adventure. The tents aren't even worth cleaning and complaining about. So stay away from them, they are only suitable for the desert or for the home. I was really annoyed because it rained in like a waterfall.
