      Worked for me no issue

Gosh this hobby is so tiring to keep up with sometimes. I hope I'll get bored of it soon tbh.

    • Wait for the hype to die down and buy single cards instead. It's how you save a bit of moolah.

      • Don't think that's happening with the new cards looking at the Pikachu ex SAR

  • This set is so hot right now

  • I'm also not getting free shipping for some reason

    • What’s your total?

      • $160, also no free shipping for me

        • Weird, looks like they revoked free shipping. I’ll update

  • Anyone know when is pokemoncentre going to release ETBs?

These prices are mad compared to other parts of the world. We're getting so screwed paying $12/pack even if this is much better than the second hand market. im just trying to rip packs with my kids

    • Go to league. You get packs for under $5, and early

      • Pokemon leagues? I'm new to Sydney

Its a world wide thing. You go to your nearest card dealer, and for $55 you can enter the prelease event. You get a bunch of boosters, and then make up a deck to battle with. If you win you get extra rewards, but even just by itself its about the cheapest way to get packs. The next set Prismatic Evolutions hits jan17, and the prelease events are usually the weekend before, so I'd start looking just after new years.

They have kid leagues, teenager leagues and adult leagues.

@outlander: Prismatic Evolutions is a special set, not a standard and as a result, there's no prerelease event for it.

            • @silverrat23: Oh really.. That sucks balls. Was going to use that to break up the school holidays for my nephews

              • @outlander: You can drop into a local card shop (as I mentioned below) during the School Holidays as most are open during then.

Some shops may offer store credit in lieu of booster packs at the end of Casual Play sessions. For example, they would offer $14 to put towards anything in their store, including Prismatic Evolution boosters (but they will be around $10 each as they're a special set).

Many card shops around the country hold weekly Pokemon TCG events for casual play. Entry is typically $10-$15 and includes around 2 booster packs (varies by store).

To find a store near you, enter your suburb in the Event Locator (despite its US appearance, it is a worldwide locator).

  • I'm waiting for the Amazon pre-order !

Some of those sets you've linked to are released in 25.4.2025 !.

    • Amazon already did two rounds of pre-orders

      • Oh dang must have missed them! Surely they'll come back again 👀

    • Has been and gone.

I see people just buying up 151, surging sparks and now this set to scalp.

Is this the new trend now or has it always been like this?

    • +2

Always been like this. What else are neckbeards going to do? Did you see the Van Gough Pikachu kerfuffle at the Paris museum? Grown ass men ruined an event for kids.

  • the chase cards in this being the eevee evolutions.

probably better to buy singles when the hype dies down than trying to pull them out of packs now. if you are a collector or really like eevee it would be better to wait.

but the FOMO in me says.. buy buy buy .

  • All gone.

  • Nah I'm gonna let the scalpers and "investors" enjoy this one. $12/pack is mad, especially with very likely horrid pull rates.

$100 ETBs are pure madness, we used to get them as low as $49. Now everything is so hot, BigW sits at $95-100, cause why discount, it will sell.

You'll just be pulling garbage and paying double for it.

Will just wait till they print more, no rush, singles in the mean time and if every eevee is super high, then just gonna miss out.

I only recently got back into this and have made a rule to not pay more than RRP for pokemon card boosters.
Someone must be buying it from scalpers if they're continuing to do this!

    • The market will decide value. TCG is on a massive bull run I'd see continuing for atleast a few more years.
