Embark on an epic and heartfelt journey as Kratos and Atreus struggle with holding on and letting go. Against a backdrop of Norse Realms torn asunder by the fury of the Aesir, they’ve been trying their utmost to undo the end times. But despite their best efforts, Fimbulwinter presses onward. Witness the changing dynamic of the father-son relationship as they fight for survival; Atreus thirsts for knowledge to help him understand the prophecy of “Loki”, as Kratos struggles to break free of his past and be the father his son needs. See for yourself how fate will force a choice upon them: between their own safety or the safety of the realms. All the while, hostile Asgardian forces assemble… Venture through all Nine Realms towards the prophesied battle that will end the world. Vanquish Norse gods and monsters alike in fluid, expressive combat. Explore in wonder through stunning mythological landscapes.

Wonder if this will be cheaper in the 6 months it sits in my pile of shame 🤔

    • No doubt.

Wait 20 years and play it on a buggy emulator. But in all seriousness, pluck out 2-3 games from your list of shame and make calendar entries to play a handful of 1-2hr sessions. If you love it you’ll keep going. If you hate it, don’t make yourself push through it. If you’re on the fence, consult reddit for general opinions then decide.

Another good way to keep up momentum with a game, esp RPG/ open world, is to only allow yourself to do x number of side quests per story quest. Or x hours of side quests. Otherwise you end up with a sprawling to-do list that becomes a total chore.

If you have a system to triage your plethora of unplayed games, you’ll find it way less daunting.

    • Probably not. Look at Ghost of Tsushima go back up to $124 after the 12th.

      • Currently $49 on Amazon.
(I paid $50 last year and got distracted half way through the game)

Loved the story of that game, felt very smooth and cinematic. Not the hardest game but was an enjoyable play through.
