Once you submit your order to Sony, you should receive phone call from Sony to discuss payment details. I forgot to ask my payment confirmation so I emailed Sony and received replay in 20 minutes from Sony. Tax invoice will be sent to email address with tracking when order dispatched.

Got a call from Sony pretty quick, they did ask how I knew about it, just said the Power buy email and it was all good :D

I'm not sure why Sony is asking for a membership number you can just advise them that there is no Membership number for PowerBuy and you received the email Christmas promotion from PowerBuy. But I have been told they are currently out of stock.

Surely they should be able to accept back orders, this is Sony Aust, not some 3rd party supplier…let us know how you go.
Sony web site is stii showing stocks available. I ordered other Sony product online 2 weeks ago when the product was having one day sale and was out of stock. No problem with back orders and the price is the same as time of order.
Sony has just advised us that this deal is now closed, it was for a limited to number of units. They have told us no further orders will be accepted.

I put an order in for this after midday on 19th, well after it was advised that the deal was over. Got a call the next day for payment and tracking info today!
Someone may have cancelled as I put in one at night on the 18th and was told the offer has expired and no longer available. I may email them again to check with them.
Worth a try. They actually called me twice (two different reps) and after we figured out I'd already paid for one they offered to sell me another one anyway.
Send an email back to the previous Rep who said the deal has expired and just send in the order again since there are a few reps looking after this deal and hope to get one who willing to allow it to go through given the original offer on the email stated the offer is open until 31 December.
Let us know how you go, I've emailed twice (Wed & today) and got the same rep twice and accordingly got rejected twice.
Never got a reply from them. I was in HK anyway and got the Nex 6 instead as they were having promotions over there with free 16G SDCard and Battery and option to purchase the 50mm F1.8 lens, A mount lens adaptor and Flash or case at discounted prices. Some of their stuff over there in the first place were already cheaper. However at HK if you buy from Sony or large chain store like Fortress, don't expect to be able to negotiate the price. Have to be done at smaller stores but don't know whether the promo applies to them as they have to be authorised dealers and some shops can be a bit dodgy do deal with.
This is an awesome deal.
