42 and loosing it already, tempted to use this but after seeing movie "The Substance", I feel i should accept my age gracefully.

      • +3

        or visit turkey?

I lost my hair in my 20's so now that i'm in my 40's i couldn't care less and i'm frikin glad i just have to shave my head once a week and not worry about anything else in the morning… this shit did nothing back then as my hair loss was hereditary and short of those ugly ass hair plug things i just had to deal with it and move on … hehe

Mind you my head is perfect shape for shaving so it was an easy transition… i def look better with my head shaved than i did with hair!

Losing it "already" haha man you're well past age expected to still have hair well done

        • That's true, but you know we all want hair even when we are 60 😛

          • @hopper: Yeah my recent 31st birthday gift to myself was Minoxidil. After finding out you can get it off brand for like, $120 a year, I figured it was much more economically viable to just start that now and do it for life than it would be to take a month off work and go to Turkey and fork out the money for a transplant.

            • @Assburg: Where did you buy the off brand Minoxidil from? My hair loss is hereditary as well so I doubt this thing can help. Curious tho.

              • @Bargain-er: https://www.davidjonespharmacy.com.au/minoxidil-extra-streng…

I thought mine was hereditary but this is making a difference after a couple weeks. I delved into reddit for like 5 minutes to see what they were saying on tressless and no one on that forum understood how half life works…

put it on twice a day if you can remember, but once a day will still help it build up to a decent concentration in your scalp.

There's evidence showing dermarollers/microneedling once a week helps significantly with absorption though I've not done this specifically for my hairline yet (it really doesn't hurt with the 0.3-0.6mm rollers I've just been lazy, but girlfriend occasionally microneedles my face and applies some skincare crap without issues).

                • @Assburg: Ah ok so do you have hair loss history in your family too but this product works? Do you know any side effects? Thanks

I've seen this on ebay (same product free shipping?) :

                  https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/154324379494?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mk…

                  • @Bargain-er: I am not qualified to give medical advice but… Minoxidil can either be taken orally (not this particular product) or applied topically.

The only side effect people talk about for topical application is that their hair/scalp becomes oily, and in some people produces some flakiness in the skin.

The oral side effects can be ascertained with a quick Google … They seem pretty extreme but I'm sure they only affect very, very few individuals.

Re family: Very strong history of crazy widows peaks on my dad's side, and John Howard style on mum's side.

                    • @Assburg: Yeah, just watched utube reviews. I have dry sensitive Scalp. I think foam may be a better for than solution. It s much more expensive tho. Is strongest dose 5%? Thanks

You think 42 is early? I was doomed before I finished Uni. Happily bald now wouldn't go back.

    • Wait till you hit mid 40's… that's colonoscopy territory

      • Finger in your ringer

        • I've been practicing for years leading up to having to see the doctor.

  • Is there money back guarantee if no result?

"Please note this product is flammable"

Maybe that was what Ghostrider used?

    • Must be pretty good stuff. Nick Cage's still looking great almost 20 years later.

      • Nick Cage is 60, but I think his hair has just turned 15

I get the message that the code is invalid

    • +2

code doesnt work for me either

      • Not working for me either

  • Better off getting it from chemist warehouse if delivered

    https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/85070/regaine-men-s-…

  • Be careful with this stuff if you have pets. I would recommend doing research on toxicity to animals before using it.

    • Only for direct contact?

  • thanks OP ordered.

  • Those code is working for me. i search it on google and it works.

I have been using this for a while and can someone tell me the benefit of Regaine over this if any

    May be better brand.

  • Does this actually work?
I remember Head and Shoulders had a shampoo, that was called regain something.. then it disappeared. I don't think it worked either.

  • I always get my Minoxidil off ebay, so much cheaper than the chemist. As long as you buy from a reputable seller you'll be all good. I normally get the liquid 6 month supply for $60-$70

  • Stay away if you have kids/wanting to have kids. Recent study shows side effects to babies - https://people.com/excessive-hair-growth-werewolf-syndrome-h…
