Hey Folks,

Hope everyone is enjoying the start of December :)

We've tried to get a nice mix of blends, multiple filter options and a popular single origin for espresso in this deal. Fingers crossed there's something for everyone here.

Predicting the future is always a challenge, but it's likely that Candid and the cost of shipping will be going up in the new year so this is a great chance to get some coffee at the current price.

    Hey OP, I have asked a similar question before but do any of the other Atypical's come in recyclable detpaks like Candid? E.g. Heavyweight or Seasonal. Looking to try something a bit punchier that Candid.

      Hey there, I do remember that question! I didn’t realise you were also asking about Atypical. All the Atypical 1kg bags are the recyclable detpaks. Market Lane and Seven Seeds also use them. Unfortunately AXIL doesn’t use them.

    Hi Tim,

    Tossing up whether to buy 1kg or 2 to take me through to the new year…. What's your recommendation on storage of a whole kg bag so it stays fresher? I don't feel like buying one of those Fellow canisters which cost a fortune at this stage!

      Very good question!

      Atmos is great but not necessary. If you’re buying coffee that comes in Detpak bags (Atypical, Seven Seeds and Market Lane), let the coffee age to its optimal point (usually a few weeks post roast), and then freeze in an airtight container. Vacuum sealed into individual doses is best, but if it’s not possible just try to get as much air out as possible.

      However, everything else will age at a slow enough pace to get you through to the new year with happy taste buds.
