Got a link to that Kmart one?
kmart fan is $17, my bad
thats not the $17 one ?
@Mortgagetightass: But is not blade less 🤔
No blades = no choppy air sound
Well i presuming why i would buy a blade less fan
Anyway kmart sell blade less fans too from $69 but are not tower fans, shame cant put these on an old fan stand

(not that anyone asked, but here is a PSA) got the Kmart circulator fans recently, they make the room feel 'airy' and comfortable to be in.
Being cool is not the only consideration for a fan though. The cheap pedestal fans inevitably end up making annoying noises when rotating/oscillating. I can’t stand ones that start clicking etc on every turn 😅
Dyson fans are very noisy.
We've had a couple of these cheap pedestal ones for years, and never had any of those issues.
They'll also have AC motors rather than DC, which probably means more noise and definitely less energy efficient.
It is a fan, so it doesn't technically cool.
Do you have a link to the video that proves it?
you wont be able to clean the dust inside the fan. Get the one with filter.
Thanks OP, grabbed one
No filter, no app on this one?
Are these any good? I am considering buying 1 but a friend informed that it makes a lot of noise.
The only reason you'd get one of these is to look cool, or if you have kids and want fanless. Otherwise, a DC air circulator does a much better job.
Thanks
Get the hot and cold version with filter. Much better
Just get the Kmart Vortex fan - a quarter of the price and does the same thing https://www.kmart.com.au/product/vortex-circulator-fan-43387…
This or the vornado?
Why do you say the Kmart over the Vornado?
Price only.
I got a previous Kogan DC circulator deal on OzB and it is in many ways better than the Vornado in everything except max airflow. Remote controllable, up/down as well as left/right oscillation, timer, natural breeze modes.
I have both Vornado and the Kmart fans, the Kmart for the price is pretty much the same.
@punkel: I’m assuming it’s the same as the AC ones and not the DC fans right?
Waste of money on this. Any big w, target or kmart one would be way too good compared to this crap from Dyson.
Bought the one with a filter from dyson and it hardly blows and then makes a noise like it's got a fighter jet engine.
No difference from a $40 fan. Air is the same temperature.
What's the best bang for buck for a pedestal fan? I want one for the Alfresco area to make sitting out there bearable in the summer
Dynabreeze 450mm industrial fan from Bunnings. Not cheap (although significantly cheaper than the Dyson) but incredible build quality and operation. Three speeds, but I can't remember even using it higher than the first setting.
Slightly cheaper, quiet DC motor and portable with up to 24hrs battery life….

Ahhh these should be worth $30 after that youtube video that proved a $7 kmart fan is as cool.
