    those china travel deals were package with group tour (include air ticket)
    this is purely hotel booking, more suitable if you plan your own trip

  How do I check if the particular Chinese hotel has received the discount?

  I checked a few hotels in Beijing during this period (Sofitel/Pullman/Fairmont) the pricing is no where near 40% off compared to standard rates available on maps.google.com aggregated results for the same dates.

    when you search on a hotel, pick a room and "See Rates"
    you will see a rate type "WINTER LIMITED TIME OFFER"

    BTW, the 40% off is RRP, when you do a search on google its likely a 3rd party website rate / public rate
    which will also be discounted from RRP
    So in reality it wont be 40% off from rates in websites like bookings.com or expedia, but will still be cheaper

    For example, I am searching for Sofitel Hangzhou Westlake
    superior room (2 adults) on Jan 3 to Jan 4
    Accor offers wth Accor plus is $135.9 (after VAT and other taxes)

      Thanks for that winter limited time offer screenshot. Is there an easy way to identify the hotels participating?
      I can see the Sofitel Westlake one has this offer, but not many other desirable hotels in the cities I want to vist.

        and it has the Winter Offer
