"Night Trap" is currently on sale at the Playstation Store, as part of their Black Friday Sale.
"Night Trap" is a re-release of a highly controversial game that originally came out on Sega CD in 1992. It is billed as an "interactive movie" and uses "full motion video." It's essentially like watching a bad movie but you press buttons and stuff every now and then… It's not considered a good game by anyone but to me it's interesting as this thing I used to always dreamily look at in magazines back in the day.
Besides "Night Trap," other "full motion video" games from the Sega CD days are also on sale at 70%-off:
Ground Zero: Texas - Nuclear Edition ($8.08) - https://store.playstation.com/en-au/product/EP3315-CUSA26068…
Double Switch ($7.18) - https://store.playstation.com/en-au/product/EP3315-CUSA14018…
Corpse Killer ($7.18) - https://store.playstation.com/en-au/product/EP3315-CUSA16784…
I've had these all on my watchlist for years now and I don't think they've ever been at a lower price.
I bought it as a Limited Run. I agree with you, it is honestly a pretty terrible game. And confusing. I love FMV "interactive movie" type games so gave it a go. Give Goosebumps Escape from Horrorland (1995) a go if you havent. It's my fav, and even has Jeff Goldblum as Dracula and Isabella Rossellini as Lady Cadaver.
Hasn't been released on anything since Win95 so you'll need to get RetroArch
