I want to buy some DECENT shoes

I'm sick and tired of joggers from BigW, KMart, etc. that are uncomfortable - that fall apart - that are bin-worthy in a couple of weeks. Does anyone know a source of decent shoes (joggers AND casual leather shoes) where the glue doesn't separate, lace holes don't tear through or eyelets pop out, the decorative vinyl strips don't crack, the toes don't come unglued and flap around making you look like a circus clown with big floppy shoes…

I mean, when you used to buy joggers back in the 80s, you could wear them a year or more - and throw them in the washing machine a few times without them falling apart. I looked at Dunlop KT26 joggers and they're not what they once were either. They used to come apart back in the 80s, but they seem even worse now.

Is it even possible to find decent shoes anymore?

    • Some of the Globe's have wide soles, and they don't melt when i apply the brakes on my scooter (unlike the KMart CCP ones).

    • I've got wide as feet as well. I think the Nike Free runs v3 cater to them; due to the flexibility and material.

  • shoe goo them back together.

  • http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/88834 - there is a code for 20% off Eastbay if you are wanting to buy some quality shoes at a decent price. they hit you with shipping costs but if you buy two pairs of something then it is worth while.

  • Have you looked at the following:

  • JD Sports have some excellent shoes:

I recently purchased a pair of DC Shoes™ Mens Unilite Trainer Shoe, easliy as good as my Nike Free v3 were. but cheaper

I got them from ebay: (http://myworld.ebay.com.au/dcshoes_official_store)

Purchaing from KMART and BIGW you will find, unfortunately, that the quality is not the best, and for a training shoe, I would be hesitant to purchase from kmart of bigw. there trainers do not ahve proper ankle support, arch support.

Get you feet checked at Rebel or Athletes Foot, then purchase your shoes online, it will be much cheaper and you will get the best shoes for your feet.

With regards to casual shoes I use Hi Tec Magnum Duty Lite.

    best of luck
