  • ATL I think, great monitor!

    • ATL?

      • All time low

    • Yes. Last lowest price was $278.40

and yes its a great monitor. I got one when I posted one of the deal myself previously.

      • How's it for office work / web browsing / etc? Rtings says it has good text clarity but I'd be moving from 4K 27" 60Hz.

        • +2

I cant compare to a 4k monitor text clarity because I dont have one. But its good enough for me for everything and text looks fine but its mostly used for gaming and I use the icc profile from Rtings.

I also got the same lg panel as the reviewed one from Rtings.

    • Probably the Lenovo, it gets brighter and has a higher refresh rate

    • I saw the Lenovo in store - the stand is huge, it will take up a lot of desk space. Didn't buy it for this reason. The HP stand looks more compact.

    • Yes the Lenovo R27qe is newer and has the price advantage but it hasnt been around as long as the omen 27q so cant see many feedbacks or reviews on it. Omen 27q gets good rep for bang for buck 27 inch gaming monitor, but we shall see if Lenovo R27qe will take that crown once more feedback and reviews are up.

    • That is a good looking unit, has me tempted.

    The 4k 27" is also at an ATL I think - $499.20
Can't say I've been watching every deal but I haven't seen any 27" high refresh rate IPS 4k monitors drop down that low before?

    • the dell 4k 32's have been that low-ish, and is a better size for 4k (which I think 'most' would agree with). I tried a 28" 4k and it was pointless, changed to a 32" 4k.

      • +1

I agree but unfortunately it's out of stock at the moment.

      • You must still see that there is clearly a market for them, even if only from the fact that there is a lot more than a couple of models around.
I could describe my use case but everyone's needs are different, and I'd hope that people who are considering paying a premium for a 4K monitor are capable of understanding their needs best

        • Are you being defensive to my post lol, I wasn't attacking you, chill pill man, I get some people want a 4k 27", that doesn't bother me haha

  • Does it have speakers?

  • I got the FHD one for &147… worth it or cancel?

    • +2

Good value if you need one. Still IPS, still high frame rate? Sometimes FHD is better for people if they have limited output bandwidth through a dock or something. Depends on your use case.

  • How would this go as a WFH monitor? Would be used for general processing, but also for things like Youtube and streaming services. I wouldn't be using it for gaming.

    • +1

A great monitor. I'm finding 27" is the minimum standard these days but at 1080p the visuals are very blury. That's why a 1440p makes this perfect.

The higher refresh rate is mostly for gaming and you can get away with 60hz for office. But boy does it feel good at 160hz while using Excel!

The lenovo model. Mentioned above is something to seriously consider over this as a better monitor, but reliability is yet to be confirmed as its newer. But it is the better monitor on paper.
