I've been using these buds for the last year and travel frequently with at least 2 flights a week. These have never let me down with great passive noise cancellation to the point I no longer travel with ANC headphones or earbuds on my flights.

The only negative I have found is the case is small enough I have lost 2 pairs and now travel with a backup pair….

Honestly the price is within the normal range with them almost always being on sale but great buds at the price!

    They have enough passive reduction to work in a gym environment, although, you kind of wish you had ANC.

    I've been a headphone nerd since I was a young teenager and I can say from a sound quality perspective these actually blew me with away. Their sound quality is better than my Baseus pair, and they fit well.

    As with all earbuds finding the right tips and fit can involve trial and error but the fact is for wireless buds these are a no brainer. I compared them with a pair of sony xm3 buds and I did chuckle at the amount people seem to find reasonable to pay for seemingly minor improvements in sound quality.

    I'll back the OP's findings, and whilst I agree with you, and I personally use full size closed headphones in most cases should I require isolation, I wear open air buds if it's hot or exercising but still use these when I'm in the gym and want to tone down the background music they blare during my workout.

    In saying this, I just don't think you will be able to convince people that believe they need ANC to go without it. I would also classify the the microphone quality for voice calls to be poor.

      Finding the right tips is probably the biggest key, these might just naturally fit me better hence me being okay with no ANC.

      I previously used some memory foam tips which improved it even more but became uncomfortable after a couple hours so I haven't bothered to replace them.
