Lots of reviews on YouTube. GPS & HRM are actually decent comparing to old Amazfit smartwatches. It also gets new features through Zepp OS updates all the time as well. I used to use an Amazfit Bip for running many years ago, and for the past 5 years with a Garmin Forerunner 645. Now looking at new watches to replace my old Garmin. Looking at equivalent priced Garmin, Polar or Coros you can't really match the features of Amazfit Balance.

      Don't feel too bad, got a top of the line Android WearOS watch, which has google pay, and I haven't been able to pair any of my 3 credit cards with different banks to it. It always says contact bank. So you're not really missing much

      If you have already invested in the WearOS ecosystem or don't mind less than a week of battery life, then OnePlus Watch.

    +1 for Amazfit Balance is getting better than Amazfit's previous generations. Even this one is more accurate for running outside than Apple Watch Ultra Gen 2, Pixel Watch 1, Huawei GT4, GT5 Pro, Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 & Ultra for example.

    Garmin Forerunner 165 is more accurate and at the top 6 of the chart above, but still expensive almost $400 …

    For cheaper price, Huawei Band 9 can be considered as it is one of the most accurate for running outdoors at the moment.

    This is a decent watch but ended up returning mine as notification handling was sub par. I would not completely rely on quantified scientist, he does not test with multiple users and often uses statistically meaningless sample sizes of data, so it’s only a bit better than random often paid reviews. Likewise dcrainmaker micro analysis of gps tracks which have natural significant error margins run to run gets a bit pointless if you know your rats and stats. The real difference between most devices is on the tree covered trails and city or naturally canyons, minor use cases. For me, This watch could not match Garmin 965 or apple watch ultra for live pace and non cadence locking heart rate data, but is excellent for non challenging environments like most other cheap watches these days. Huawei gt3 and runner were actually better as well if your serious about fitness aspects and sleep tracking and notifications work better on Huawei with iPhone.

      I still use my Huawei GT-Runner, great watch for running and weight lifting in term of high heart rate accuracy, a lot of free good looking watch face, and long battery life. Sleep tracking accuracy in Huawei watches is not that accurate unless if you only want to know when you start sleeping and wake up. That's it.

    Yes GT runner is a serious dual band gnss sports watch and compares well to high end Garmin and Apple Watch. Very accurate, no cadence locks etc. terrific smart features despite its modest hardware. Only cheapish watch than runs as smooth as Apple Watches. The latest firmware fixed the sleep accuracy for me, bang on now and better than apple.

    Original Price is 329. first time sign up come with 10 dollar coupon. then come with 53.84 cash back. much faster than shipping from German. (NSW stock)
    I paid 304.64 for 319 by buying GC from macquarie with 4.5% off
    (also planning to go overseas that comes with another 29 off from GST)

    final price for me: 304.64 - 53.84 - 29 = 221.8

    If you setup your zepp app to India, then you get both blood pressure monitoring and alexa on the Balance.
    Not ideal, but it is what it is.

    Some concerns about BP accuracy but my watch is generally within about 5 points of a machine.
