Lowest price so far from what I’ve seen, coming in at ~$2500 range.
Pretty disappointing BF sale, guessing not much price down happening.
Hopefully helps someone to pull the trigger.

It'll be more like $2450 I reckon.
original comment of the year award.
HODL
Hodor.
Yeah good price. Got this tv last year for around $2800. Solid tv 👍
Wasn't the C4 released this this year?
Yeah he bought it recently, went back in time and got a refund and bought it again cheaper as a clearance item because there was only one in stock in the entire country.
… and he didn't even post it on OzBargain for us to do the same!
They release a new version each year and each year that particular version costs about the same.
C1, C2, C3, C4 (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024): doesn't matter, it's still that years LG 65" OLED.
I wonder if they will rejig this naming scheme in 2 years time when they hit C6 because then they will start overlapping with the debut C6 from 2016.
Oh my bad, I picked up the C3. Soz
Indeed it's a great TV. That said, I got a G3 65" last year for just under $2500. This year's Black Friday is a bit underwhelming imho.
If this was a G4 I'd be pulling the trigger
I would too, if this was 99"
@nikoris: Can't wait for that to exist
From where?
This is a great price, may end up cheaper during their model clear out during April, but most likely your not going to find much better than this now.
+1 this, Aril is usually the best time for buying TVs as they come to an end of the cycle.
you're*
Yes I no.
fanks
Yeah I want this best I could find was $2800 thanks I will see if it moves for cyber Monday.
You mustn't have been searching very hard.
No major retailer has this on BF for less than $2800 besides this mod now.
It's all about timing.
Appliance Central and Powerland come up first page of Google was Charlie's point though probs, unless you were limiting yourself to the big retailers on purpose
Advertised prices are one thing, the price you can negotiate in store or over the phone is different. As I mentioned in the other thread, mate of mine was offered $2680 for this a week or two ago in the first store he stepped into. With very little effort.
this has to be one of the worst black friday's there has been, most of the tvs were either cheaper or the same price a month ago
They've been pretty ordinary for a few years now, outside of a few choice deals. Inflation/weak dollar has made it harder for retailers to discount, and made the deals that they do discount look shit in comparison to prices in years gone by.
The inflation is real. Save yourself some money don't buy anything
ever?
65" OLED (this one) or 98" TCL C655 QLED for around $ 2950?
I don’t know why anybody would get non oled tlc over lg oled. Yes the size is less but for me it’s just no comparison. Honestly the tcl at 98 has really bad picture quality for me personally. The smaller ones are not bad but I wouldn’t be happy with the quality at that scale…
Have you sat in front of those big TCLs? Unless all you do is watch Batman in cinema mode in the dark, the TCL has an unbelievable immersive feel to it at that size.
If you are one to look for all the issues in your 4k movie rewatches, yeah you might find it unenjoyable. But seriously, when they get this big and does a good job I get why people go for them
you're better off with a 85inch C855 in a bright living room than a 65inch OLED for the same price..and vice versa in a light controlled bedroom. depends on your use case.
-How many adverbs can you fit in a sentence
-yes
What about the Hisense 100" - it's $2,880 at Costco.
I heard an extra 2 inches go quite far.
Disclaimer: I know nothing about these TVs.
It's nice to see prices moving down, even with inflation etc. I bought my C1 a few years ago for $3k which was a good price.
Got it for $2495 by negotiating at HN (albeit bought a few other items too). Big retailers definitely have some wiggle room. Encourage people to call up, quote this price, and see what they can do.
This or s90d?
I see that the s90d has better picture but no Dolby vision
I looked in JB I think s90d looked better.
S90d and this one are very similar. I would say in general it’s accepted the lg to be superior but if you liked the s90d you can’t go wrong honestly
I personally wouldn’t buy a TV without DV.
It is like buying a TV that does 720p only because all you do is watch free to air
Unless DV is that important to your usage, just go with whatever looks better to you. End of the day, you can get all the informed or expert opinions, but it's always up to the viewer to figure out their preference.
Damn that's a good price, but my C1 is still doing awesome (save for a power board change, which was apparently a known issue with them during the part shortage over covid).
I replaced the power board of my C1 once already. The replacement board has just started playing up too. Picture quality is awesome but I don't wanna buy an LG tv any more, they're just not reliable.
Reliability: Sony, Samsung
just need the 77" to follow…
Was able to get the 65" G4 from the Good Guys for $2880 in the end (3k negotiated price and then paid with discounted gift cards). Was pretty happy with that! JB wouldn't even price match when I had a quote for $3150 from Good Guys.
If the G4 can get down to 3k then the C4 should be able to be negotiated to lower than this deal.
pulled the trigger at JB price match with free delivery. HN won't it do free delivery
At Costco TCL 65" C855 QD Mini Led down to $1599.99 delivered. Excellent unit and price at $100 less than the other big boys like JB HiFi.
Is Appliance Central a good retailer? I wanted to buy a TV from them to be delivered to Victoria, but not sure about customer service if it comes damaged/defective.
Overall disappointing BF sale yes I agree
Heads up for anybody wanting to buy this, walking into a HN and told the salesman i want the TV and im shopping around. Gave it to me for 2.5k flat.
Good luck
Heads up Bing Lee has it for $2,563 excluding cashback until midnight, I just picked one up, 10% Cash rewards too. https://www.binglee.com.au/products/65-oledc4-4k-smart-tv-20… (the discount applies in cart)
Pulled the trigger at that price, which means cyber Monday it will be $2.4k, enjoy.
