in regards to Teams, this is better than collections, 1Password need a bridge for LDAP and SAML, so there is use cases :P
Ah fair enough. I was just thinking of individual and family plans.
i would put this up there in comparison to 1Password but i do think 1Password has the edge
Apologies in advance for my ignorance, but can someone please explain the 'general gist' of these types of products to me, including any potential risks associated with using them?
Am I right in assuming that if I pay for a service like this, I only need to remember one password, but the contracted service negates any/all risks that would ordinarily be associated with doing that; via whatever means they are capable of? So I am paying them money to reduce a (potentially large) number of passwords to a single one?
I'm thinking that using a service like this could end badly, but maybe that is because I know nothing about these types of services ('password managers'). If anyone here can enlighten me in any of the respects mentioned above, I would be eternally grateful.
There are free alternatives, like Bitwarden, who perform really well. Basically, this is like a database for all your passwords. When you go to a site, you can configure a browser extension to ask you for your master password, and it will automatically fill in your username/password for that site.
I also keep data on some of my id documents and credit cards, and use it to generate random passwords when creating new accounts.
Its an enhanced password tool you have inbuilt into many modern browsers. It is used to generate and store credentials for anything.
Understand your concerns regarding risk when using one of these services.
When using one of these services, my recommendation is to use additional layers of security, such as ensure the password is not used anywhere else, using MFA (not your phone number), require login on any new apps/browsers/devices/etc.
I use Password Boss Premium. I got a lifetime unlimited device license for it. So far it hadn't let me down been impressed. I got it through Stacksocial but they still have it.

Who would buy it over Bitwarden and 1Password?
