I tried to see if Total Tools would price match this today seeing as though they sent me a text saying "TOTAL TOOLS WONT BE BEATEN THIS BLACK FRIDAY! We'll match any deal & have low prices guaranteed!" They got back to me and said "We are unable to match the price you provided, as the competitor's price is limited to in-store purchases. To be eligible for a price match, the price must be available to the general public for online purchase as well." What a cop out

What a joke! What's next? The batch and serial numbers of the mowers have to be in the range that we specify?

    • They also refused to match with Sydney Tools for Makita XGT lawn mower deal

      • What was their reason for that 1?
You made me look into this deal.
Thanks for linking, seems your on a winner here
Watching this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7oGGP0iixtw and the Makita seems so much better than the EGO

So couple of things and I'm guessing the reason TT won't price match, I notice TT include a blower redemption but ST don't seem to advertise that.
Looking on the Makita website and looks the ST should also be eligible for a blower redemption https://makita.com.au/promotions
Did you ask if it's eligible?

    • Yeah Total Tools live up to their name of being "Total Tools" when it comes to price matching. You have to fight it literally every time. They don't seem to ever just approve a price match straight up. I honestly don't even know why they offer it price matching. It makes no sense.

  • Much better deal, 39% off on Makita XGT self propelled kit, 2 batteries and a charger, needs only battery to operate. 1.9KW motor

    • I just got the "Makita 18Vx2 Brushless Lawn Mower 460mm Kit DLM464PT2" mower with 2x batteries for $657, was this a good choice given I have a 300sqr m lawn?

      • Is your land 300sqm or is that the size of your actual lawn? As long as you don't let the grass get too high you should be good. Did you get the redemption batteries or blower?

        • @Elyxar 300sqm lawn, cutting once a fortnight or once every 3 weeks ATM. I have not yet because I haven't gone in store to pick it up. They said once I get the receipt in hand I can use it to redeem. I assume this is in store… ATM I still need a whipper snipper to complete my kit… So I'm actually thinking maybe I should get the 2x batteries instead of blower ATM… Thoughts? I feel like there's a higher chance that a blower deal will come up than a decent whipper snipper skin… Thanks in advance.

      • I live close to the mountains in Melbourne where is foggy and damp on most mornings. Together with Melbourne weather, where it rains all seasons, I wanted to get to get as much power as possible in a mower for those winter days

      • How did you get it for so cheap. Online it shows more everywhere? Can you share the link please?

    • "Much better deal, 39% off on Makita XGT"

where can I get this deal from ?

      • literally the comment above yours

Get the eGo, it's a heaps better deal and product.

        • Saw comparisons between this Ego and Makita XGT, everyone seems to prever the Makita XGT

          • @Mortin: YOu also get e free 40V blower redemption with the Makita XGT

        • sorry I did not see that link.

eGo not available to me as I am in Sydney and deal is in store only.

  • Damn, bought for $1599 a few weeks ago. Cracking deal this one, especially with the redemption. Oh well, "you win some, you lose more" as the gambling ads say

  • Went in store and checked stock, Not available anywhere in whole brisbane, goldcoast and sunnycoast

    • Thanks. Marked as OOS

  • Whilst I can't comment on the 40V Makita lawn mower, I ended up selling my 36V Makita DLM464Z after 6 months. I found I hand to use quite a bit of tension to keep the red pull lever in position. Its fine for about 5-10 minutes, but after 15 minutes of use, my hands were quite sore. I ended up getting the EGO LM1903ESP and its a breeze to operate
