    • my target cheapy's paint on the inside has melted and been peeling off. light died within a few months. time to upgrade lol

    • I’ve switched to brand names. There’s not a huge difference in price if you can get these kind of deals, thanks to the ozbargain community

  • Got one, thanks!

    Shame it's not 1200W…

  • +4

I bought the NN-ST665B that looks identical to this to replace the cheapest LG from Kmart that died.

Oh this Panasonic shits be every time I use it.
What’s the one thing we all do when using a microwave…. Mmm not warm enough just another 10 seconds.

Wait - I’m pressing 10 seconds, it’s not doing anything, not beeping, screen is showing 0. That’s right, I remember now, I have to press Stop/Reset first then I can add time and press start - because that makes perfect sense.
Also the buttons are annoyingly hard to press.

Second this. The tactile feedback is terrible.

    • damn why did they make it this way.. soounding very fkn annying i was just gonna buy it but you made me think twice

    • +4

Whoever designed the UI of this Panasonic was either a 5yo child or a spy from a competitor with the goal to fail the product.

      • So true

      • I think its for safety reasons. But yeah annoying.

  • +2

Watch out if you are intolerant to poor user interfaces. This microwave is a pain to use compared to a generic anko.

    • its a microwave, how hard can it be

      • to some, its very hard apparently

      • Nah, npc is right. I'll wager 99% of people use this microwave wrong!

Say you have 3 spuds. Do you chuck em all in the middle? Or evenly placed around the outside as wide as possible?

The reflector in this is right in the middle. So if you want even cooked food, place stuff as WIDE as you can, not in the middle.

        • +1

          Say you have 3 spuds

Who uses microwave to cook potatoes 😅

          • +2

@kaleidoscope: Who doesn't? No need to peel. Microwave in full jackets. Let sit for 2 mins.. peels straight off (or just eat them).
Don't think you will find a more efficient method.

  • Bought one, for delivery, no stocks around. Thanks OP!

  • Tried to go through shopback for cashback and bank bonus last night, kept failing at final payment page with Oops sorry we can't find that page! likely because it was in the shopback in-app browser and it couldn't load the 3d secure verification page?

Couldn't find anything to get out of it and open in the normal browser. Ended up attempting on desktop but no idea if the bank bonus will apply, and I've had issues with purchases not tracking from desktop before.

Looks like great microwave though, good size, brand, price! Also paid for delivery as no stock nearby. Got confirmation this morning that order was getting packed/picked.

For those interested, jump on online chat with Appliances Online. They will price match and offer free delivery on top. Saves you from finding stock or having to pay for shipping.

    • refused — The model that you sent via the link is different to the one on TGG

Absolute unit of a microwave, had for a while now and is better than my old samsung for sure

  • +1

Thanks OP. Got JB to price match and got 2 years extra warranty for $27.80. I'm replacing my 7 year old Samsung that sometimes heats & sometimes doesn't. This one is a bit bigger too.

    • +1

JB declined price match for me. They said $139 is the price beat and can't match it

      • +1

Just buy it from Appliances Online. They price match and delivery is free.

        • AO added delivery fee when they price matched..

      • +1

But it from Good Guys (who are actually owned by JB) then take a photo of the receipt. Send the picture to JB, who can then price match. Return the microwave to GG. Go to the JB store, pick up your price matched good.

Honestly, the people that work in JB have rocks in their head 90% of the time.

  • +1

Many thanks OP, and here I was thinking I wouldn't buy anything this sale.

  • Does this have a spinning tray? Our work doesn't have those I think deliberately so cleaners don't need to clean them

    Freaking ridiculous

    • Yeah it does

    • Lol … some microwaves and specially commercial models don’t have turntable by design as they use a different technology to evenly spread the waves around.

      • Well they intent to buy those models so no cleaning is needed hence being cheap… also without turntable the heat does not spread evenly making people hit up heat up, stir and heat up up again. Waste of everybody's time

  • +3

Picked one up in store and the guy was surprised at the price. He said they were selling at a loss.

Anyways, this thing seems to be way better than my Anko.

  • +2

There were none left in my area so I tried JB Hifi and they price matched the $139.

  • tried to price match at chadstone jb. they refused because no stock @ tgg and was below cost

  • +1

Just got one for $139 at JB price matching this.
TGG didn't have local stock but showed as available to order online so that must have been enough for JB to do a price match.

  • Got the ready to collect email, but it was not there, looks like their stock count doesn't work. Have to wait for a redelivery and they didn't know how long that would be.

    • +1

Same thing happened to me, I got the ready to collect email, but it was not there as they accidently sold my unit to another customer. But the manager is nice, suggest I can get Panasonic NN-ST665BQPQ at same price instead of waiting for next batch, that model is way better as it has Genius Sensor Cooking and retail price is $269. Maybe you should talk with the manager. Thanks to The Good Guys Capalaba.

      • +1

I was at Capalaba too! They offered me the stainless steel version for no extra, but they'd also run out of them even though their system said it was in stock. So I've got to wait for a redelivery.

  • I miss the days when Panasonic microwaves were made in the USA

    • Mine was Japan made.

  • +1

Thanks OP, the 'timing' was perfect.
Our 1980's vintage National Dimension 4 (Panasonic) has served us well for all those years.
Last couple of years, whenever the humidity got high, it would start stepping through timer settings at random.
Today, was one of those times, so ….

  • I dunno what other people's experiences are like but I got a Panasonic inverter microwave last year and it keeps blocking my wifi when it turns on. When heating the food, the food would be hot from bottom but the top would be cold.

  • I just picked one up and turned it on, it makes a slight buzzing noise, anyone else experiencing this?

    • +1

No me, by the way, this model is available since 2018, should be a mature model without bugs. Maybe it is a defect unit.

    • +1

Just got one, too and mine does this as well. If you press on the left side a bit it stops.

  • +1

This seems to be available. Just order for pick up from Erina, NSW. Yesterday there was no stock, so many they added more stock elsewhere as well. Good luck if anyone is still interested.

  • +1

Just order one from appliance online, they also have price match and free delivery is a plus.

  • My order still says Awaiting Picking, ordered 29 Nov, for Sydney metro delivery
