Would love it if Apple released a monitor that is of a suitable price for a machine like this

Just get a simple nice Dell?

Or an LG. Your options are limitless, you don’t need an apple branded monitor… or even keyboard and mouse.

        • I’m a vain and OCD Apple fanboy, so want the same colour / style as my other Apple products.

          Tim Apple disapproves this message.

      • I am still using a Dell U2410 (ie, 24” made in 2010) and its fine for my purposes. I’ll keep using it for the new Mini when I get it.

    • I use a Dell 3221QS, love it. Will get two more and the M4 should run them all natively.

    • I have Apple Thunderbolt Display to match the use of Mac mini for over a decade

Don't forget it is also $815 here, don't need to be a student or educator

    • Saw that but knowing my luck I would be challenged, mine comes with no strings nor needing education status.

ive bought multiple times from the Apple AEU store and have never been asked to prove anything

Combined with Woolies/Coles boosted rewards on Apple gift cards, you can get it down to an effective $733.

Get it from AOC, or the eBay deal… rather than supporting Gerry.

  • I tried to get one of the 16/512 models at HN yesterday and they had no stock in SA, she mentioned that was all models. Worth giving the store a buzz before going in. Ended up getting one at Officeworks for the same price

Seeing quite a few of these deals pop up, I haven't used an apple machine for a while - what happens if the 256GB SSD is full? We have a decent size iCloud subcription for our phones, does the laptop/desktop manage its own space well between local and cloud?

    • +1

Hi I have 256GB Laptop managing well, yes iCloud for photos will save space, plus can also buy external USB C SSD.

      • Thank you! Will probably give it a go then, I see the M4 also supports HDMI 2.1 which is great.
