Survive The Island Board Game $39.98 + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ JB Hi-Fi

60

In Survive the Island, players battle against the elements and their opponents. As soon as their adventurers arrive on the island searching for treasure, the ground begins to tremble and age-old volcanoes awaken, sinking the land beneath the waters and giving free rein to terrible creatures. Players will have to cunningly find their way back to dry land, loaded down with as much treasure as possible.

Is a remake of the game "Survive: Escape From Atlantis". Looks to be a 'take that' style of game. Was $49.98 in store last week which was already $10 cheaper than anywhere I saw online at the time including Amazon who have now matched it.

I haven't played it yet but the reviews are pretty promising and seems to be a light game with simple rules. I picked it up today so hoping can get it to the table in the next week or 2.

    • I bought this game a week ago haha darn. It's great. Plays like the original with a few changes. Def worth it at this price.

Already had that link in the post mate ;)

Only reason I didn't post it as the Amazon deal is because JB have 20% off other board games atm.

Survive is a great light strategy / take that type of game. The kids & adults love it alike. This looks like the same game with nicer components.
Nothing better in a game than eating your kids with a sea monster or shark

    • From what I have seen the main difference is whales replaced with a kaiju meaning the kaiju can now attack on land and sea where the whale was only sea.

      • Yeh, I see that. The whales are always good fun when someone thinks they’re on the home straight, dunno about eating people on the island, feels perhaps over powered..
I’d still give it a shot though

        • The Kaiju only displaces people 1 space on land. But you can displace them into the water with waiting sharks
