Finally! Was waiting to see what their Black Friday special would be instead of the 10% off when spending over $200

  • Thanks for this! Been holding off getting a windscreen heat shield for a while!

  • Been waiting months for this. Pickup my new car in 2 weeks.

  • Can anyone comment on their experience with Snapshades model specific Front Windscreen shields? Is it worth the money to get that perfect fit?

    • Sunroof cover for my Tesla has been working great.

    • Is it worth the money to get that perfect fit?

Have owned 2 front windscreens. They are worth the money for fit and purpose. Fits the windscreen that you don't even need to put down your visors.
Previously owned fitmycar ones and they were trash. Those had to be rolled up whereas snapshades fold up.

Have one on my sportage and it’s ok, tight fit when I got it but kind of settles over time. As it stands, about a year old and won’t stay in place unless both visors are flipped down to keep it in place.
So, it’s nice but prob not worth the premium imho

    • I’ve got one and it’s hardly a perfect fit, probably more coverage with a trash $5 one, but the SS ones are a lot sturdier, which they should be at 10x the price.

    • Would definitely recommend - Perfect fitment, great quality

    • I was pretty disappointed with the front windscreen for 2016 Hyundai Tucson. While it fit perfectly around all sides and was good quality, the cut out around the mirror was way to large. It let in so much sunlight and radiant heat that it ended up working less effectively than a cheap one and I ended up sending it back. If it came with a flap that covered this gap it would be much better.

  • Been waiting, thanks

  • Why are these better than the cheap magnetic sunshades off AliExpress for under $20?

    • Generally, they’re no better.

    • they are the same.

the aliexpress one sometimes you can find for your rear windscreen as well.

      Works wonders 👌

These work well untill your little one figures out how to remove them.

    Kmart cheapies work well

Still a rip off, I bought from Car Shade Co and they are just as good or better than the snap shades on my wifes CX-5.

    • Thanks for the rec. Also contemplating car shades who are even cheaper

These guys only seem to have side shades and not for the main front wind shield that I'm after.

    • Oh damn didn't know about these guys.

    • Thank you, was about to buy off SS but went with CSC instead :)

For what it's worth, we love them on our RAV4 (rear windows). It does obstruct night vision, but they do fit nicely and are easy to put up and remove. Coverage is excellent for our 3 in baby seats.

Considering it for the front window on my car, but think the cheapies are probably sufficient as they get smashed, think they all deteriorate with time, and get flappy. Could replace a cheap front one 5-10 times over.

    TLDR Rear windows are +++

Why would you do this over getting your windows tinted?

      Por que no los dos?

      • Is that overkill? I don’t have undercover parking, trying to figure out what to do to my car

        • We run shades and darkest legal tint with two kids in the back as well as safe guarding our boot space.

          I guess it’s a choose your own adventure setup…

    • I think if option is just one, and tinting isn't putting you out of much more cash, tint is the go, there are cheap options for shades if/when, they're needed, or not driving too frequently.

If you have babies, or very young ones - both may be an option - snapshades we have on, RAV4 are excellent - we travel quite a lot, have dark tint, plus snapshades, we don't have concerns on long road trips and generally, 3 good sleepers.

I think tint alone, and 3-5 hours of direct sun on a few months old baby is not ideal

  • Are these of any benefit to those of us without kidlets?

    • They're nice - I love our set - but considering the kids are in our RAV4 99% of the time, I'm not yet considering them for the rear of my Mercedes.

It'd be nice to have for sure, potentially beneficial to interior temps and UV damage, but I rarely have rear passengers.
