Just posting to say this cam is pretty damn good for what it costs. D-log mode for great colours, filters are pretty great (buy separately). Personally I love it!
Creator combo adds some handy extras, might be worthwhile looking out for that though, as others have said.
Agree about getting the creator combo for the battery and mic. The image quality on this is amazing for the size, definitely use dlog.
The dji app is nice as well, you can preview your recording with the LUTon and export with the LUT baked in.
Only downside, it’s not as durable as an action camera, but it’s obvious when you think about it as it has a gimbal head.
yeah, if anything i actually wouldnt compare this as an action camera because its so fragile and get damaged easily.
I have seen plenty of small accidents where it would fall and the gimbal would require servicing as a result.
The dlog i had a question about, for someone who just wants to vlog but has no clue how to colour grade, would the results still be better say if I say slap a colour template premade with reasonable thought vs recording normally?

Yea you’re right, I wouldn’t compare them in the same class. IMO this has superior image quality, and sound quality paired with the mic, and suitable for those of us that don’t have much action going on in our lives lol (dare I say most of us). We all like to think we live an action packed life, and then our action cams are just full of things like holidays and walking around. I bought a gimbal head protector off Amazon, highly recommend getting one just to protect the gimbal head and screen.
A LUT is basically that, you record in dlog and then apply the LUT to transform it back to normal color. This is easily done in the DJI app when you preview your footage, you can export it with the LUT applied. I think in the app its called restore color or something, and it just uses the DJI LUT.

Easily worth the extra $200. IMO.
Perhaps the best vlog camera you can get right now, but for another $190 more, the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Creator Combo is a better value proposition because of the spare battery and exterior mic.
