    does this have dram?

  • Is it a better choice than wd580 from Amazon?

  • I thought of ps5 and. Slim are the same regarding to the additional storage. What's the difference between heatsink for og and slim ps5?

Are there any compatibility issues using these drives with an NVMe enclosure connected to a TV to play media?

      Don't know, but overkill, surely?

      • Yeah you are probably right. I'd be better sticking with a standard 2.5" portable drive if it's just for media.
The main reason i was looking at this was for longevity of the drive versus a traditional HDD.

I dont get why the heatsink wouldn't work for a pc?? Does it bolt the chassis of a ps5?? Can anyone with knowledge elaborate?

      I've taken a photo for you https://ibb.co/0c7m62h and https://ibb.co/CPj8WZN .

      • Thanks Luke. Never seen something like that before.

      • Wow. And you can't remove that?

        • The SSD can be used in a PC; the separate heatsink is for PS5 (standard) only.

      • It could be trimmed down with the right tools couldn't it?

        • Possibly. I did have a customer in-store mention that they may look at doing just that.

  • finally somethibg in perth šŸŽŠ. PLE, time to wake up šŸ˜…

  • If you buy a dramless drive, just be careful and know what you're doing.

  • This is a nice reminder for me that you guys exist. I usually shop at PLE and MSY but more options are always good!

  • Would this suit as a laptop boot/OS drive on a personal laptop? Not for gaming, just general browsing, moving image files around, some light Photoshop stuff (not professional).

If not, what is a recommended alternative? It's so hard to find out if it has DRAM, TLC/SLC/QLC, etc.

Just bought Kingston KC3000 2TB for $143.50 after cashback offer with shopback, woolworths everyday rewards. Upfront cost was $200 but after 30% cashback it works out cheaper.. and the kc3000 has DRAM, but doesnt come with a heatsink (I bought one separately)

    • Thank you mate! Managed to get mine down to $126.75 (after 35% cashback).
