Found this to be decent enough price for a powerboard with surge protection and essentially a 45w charger.

With only one power socket it's port unable.
Maybe cause it’s only a single ac plug rather than the usual 4 or 6 plug ones?
I've had powerboards with built-in USB before, the USB ports always fail.
You're probably better of getting a separate USB charger and one of those 3 socket powerboards from Ikea if you want something portable and capable.After going gan, never going back. Those standard chargers heat up like crazy even for 30w apple charger or 10w ipad chargers. No surprise they fail and slow as well. Most likely the heat melted the connector in the powerboard.
Yeah, GaN chargers are amazing small, lightweight and put out a decent amount of power.
lencent travel charger 20W has the best form factor (especially including international) but no GAN so does heat up a little and slow charge
Isn’t it a stretch to call it a power “board”, it’s basically an extension lead with USB, unless there’s more than one socket hiding
