      Price displayed is after discount.

Personally, I'd pay a bit for more a Samsung/Panasonic/Sony. LG have quality control issues, IMO.

      • I have found the exact opposite … had Samsung and Panasonic failures but our 4yo LG LCD is as good as the day we got it. My wheelie bin is now referred to as Samsung! :-)

I've had a Samsung 46" LCD for 5 years without issue. A Sony 55" LCD and a Sony 55" LCD/LED for 3 years and 2 years respectively. And a Samsung 50" Plasma for 2 years. All without issue.

I've also had a Acer 32" LCD that failed twice in 3 years, the last time it wasn't economical to repair. And a AWA 32" LCD that blew it PS after 4 years and wasn't worth the repair bill.

My friend bought a LG TV and it broke 4 times in 5 years (they got a 5 year extended warranty). When it broke a 5th time outside the warranty period, they binned it.

My parents bought a LG dishwasher that broke at least once a year. Luckily they too, had a 5 year warranty and replaced the LG with a Westinghouse on my advice. The repair guy described the LG as "plastic crap, designed to give as many features as possible for the cheapest price possible, with the cheapest build quality possible".

But even with say a 50% failure rate, 50% of people will still be happy with their purchase.

        • i agreed with you. i bought 2 LG micro systems last year and the radio and cd player failed within 7 months. repaired under warranty then failed again 6 months later. bad luck that time out of warranty. no doubt LG products are cheap because they uses cheap parts.

  • $678 is pretty good for a 50" full HD plasma, but i think it would be a bit big for my room, lol.

  • Plasma nice and cheap

I love how LG's promo gives away cinema tickets, seeing as you just bought a cinema 3d tv

It's good to get out occasionally :-)

  • I have the LM 8600, and based on how great that model is i can only recommend the LG 9600.
I would easily get the 9600 over the 6450 for $400 extra.
