  • TBH some people will think it's too expensive at $140 because you can buy fake ones for $50.

How can you blame them, TNF and Patagonia fakes are pretty good value for money

          Potentially deceptive:
          a) made by the people who's stands to benefit financially.
          b) incomplete information (does not show attempt to test fake bag)

        • +1

This video is super biased. Of course the quality is not as good, but those “good fakes” are still great value for money

      • -2

        How can you blame them

I love saving a buck, but you will never catch me buying fakes. morally reprehensible

        • +1

LOL give me a break dude! These mega corporations pay fukkall tax, rip off developing nations workers (some have a history of child labour too), rip off customers with ridiculous pricing, talk of environment like they’re our saviours while in reality it’s all greenwashing. And you think it’s MORALLY REPREHENSIBLE buying fakes?? Which by the way help funding actual people in developing nations by giving money directly to them. You’re cooked man

          • -1

@Nedkellyinthebush: if you think the big compaines are using child labour… imagine the fake companies. bro. cmon

            • @RushfasterAu: Fair point, now let’s talk about the other points I’ve made
By the way no hating here at all, I’ve actually bought a few things from you, including one of these bags lol. Couldn’t recommend your shop enough, keep up

              • @Nedkellyinthebush: sure…

                1. corps pay no tax -> that's the tax system, if you invest in things you pay less tax. If you're growing and have no profit, you pay no tax.
                2. rip off developing nations workers -> all ozbargain deals take advantage of that
                3. rip off customers with ridiculous prices -> if they were manufacturing in the 1st world countries, it's going to be much more expensive. but also what is ripping off? If it's lower cost to live in a country and they are paid less, is that a rip off?
                4. greenwashing -> yep that happens, but the fabrics in the real base camp duffle are so much better than the rip off ones. the rip off ones will be way worst for the environment.

let me know if you need to know anything else.

          • @Nedkellyinthebush: The people who make the fakes are leaching off the reputation and designs that brands like TNF made themselves

If a company wants to sell a good, cheap product and sell it on Aliexpress, I have no problem with that - as long as they use their own branding and design

From what you’ve written, I can already tell you’ve done plenty of mental gymnastics to convince yourself that buying fake wares is acceptable. Well, it isn’t. Sorry.

Like, Greenwashing? Really? Yes, TNF has an environmental impact page on their site. Same as any major corporation. But they don’t market themselves as a green company like Patagonia does.

            • @beltdrive: Most companies greenwash… But proper brands can also actually make better products. E.g. The whole TNF range is now PFAS free. You don't get that in a thai market. So that's good right?

        • -1

          @beltdrive we hear you.

TBH I think this comment will not improve your sales…

As a previous Rushfaster customer multiple times, find it quite disappointing the store rep here carrying on like a gronk.

    Quite unprofessional to be honest.

    • We're just having fun mate. Ozbargainers can be brutal. So can we. Let's have fun together. Hold my hand.

  • Are these any good for travel? hows the quality overall ? never had a northface.

    • I've had mine since 2004. it's great!

  • For the size I think this is extremely expensive

    • There it is. That's the comment.
