Wiki correction, NOT a full service airline.

      Half service airline

      • Be happy to arrive at ur destination (eventually, but defintely not on time) kinda service….

I flew with Batik few months ago, and there was no meal served. So not a full service airline. But baggage was included. And had a terrible landing, everyone on board was screaming. Probably more of the pilot’s rough side, not the airline though.

I flew Perth-Jakarta last month. I would say it was neither full service nor budget. We got a cup of water and a piece of bread on both directions, and a default 20kg check-in baggage, these are normally an add-on for budget. But on flight to Jakarta, there was no entertainment unit.. however on flight back to Perth, there is, except you needed to bring your own headphone.

Flight & service itself was adequate but definitely not at the same standard of Singapore Airlines or even Garuda.

      • Had to have a laugh at "We got a cup of water and a piece of bread"

        • For the price we paid I expected to be given nothing haha so my expectation was not high anyway

    • At least they didn’t almost crash you into a mountain….

Batik Air or Batik Air Malaysia? There is a difference.

"Since rebranding, Batik Air Malaysia has focused on improving its customer service offerings, including enhancing in-flight meal options and providing Wi-Fi services on a larger number of its flights" - linked wiki article.

      • It was definitely Batik Air Malaysia

  • Seems pretty normal from Perth.

  • BATIK are… NOT fuill service.

They are as budget as u can get.

  • Negging due to misleading opening statement

    • are you thinking of Batik Air? Not Batik Malaysia?

"Since rebranding, Batik Air Malaysia has focused on improving its customer service offerings, including enhancing in-flight meal options and providing Wi-Fi services on a larger number of its flights" - linked wiki article.

  • Geez OP, you are having a tough time convincing the community that Batik Malaysia is not Batik Air

    • Ah well. I blame their rebranding :/

      • Similar to AirAsia. They are miles apart, depending on which variation you fly with. I personally, wouldn't fly with AirAsia Indonesia but have on AirAsia X or AirAsia Malaysia.

        • Yeah, AirAsia X is my favourite LCC - their food is delicious!

      • Batik Malaysia is the rebranded Malindo Air. From wiki "Malaysia’s National Aerospace and Defence Industries (NADI), which holds a 51% ownership stake, and Indonesia’s Lion Air, which owns the remaining 49%"

Batik Air is the "full service" carrier in Indonesia owned 100% by Lion Air Group.

        I agree, terrible rebrand.

  • Go, Bogans!!!

  • I fly Batik Malaysia/Malindo all the time with included baggage. The last time I looked, you have to pay more for included baggage like AirAsia. Not sure if it has changed back to check in bags included with their cheapest tickets.
