I love boss. It’s not too sugary either

    • +3

yea, allpress equivalent literally has double the sugar content

      • And yet also tastes much worse by comparison.

        • never tried it, but they're 50% off at Woolies for a while now. i wanted to try latte but shocked at the amount of sugar. went with their black coffee, it's ok actually for half price.

          • @dukeGR4: I’m a milk coffee guy, so I can’t really comment on the black Allpress. But earlier this year, Coles had the latte 4-packs on sale for half price, so I gave them a shot - and I wasn’t a fan. They have a weird taste compared to Boss, at least in my opinion.

    • +1

Same, the black one is theone to go

    • I "dare" you to be different !

      • +2

Dare is decent at least, milk-wise it’s not reconstituted like barista bros, which I feel gross after drinking

  • +7

I have been drinking the Boss black coffee for the last 6 months and have lost 37kg

    • Good on ya mate, that takes determination and willpower.

    • +18

what the hell was even that

    • +1

Any sugar free black coffee is basically 0 calories

  • +18

I drink one black coffee can in the morning, have my only meal at 2pm and have a black coffee at 6pm when I leave work. I was 142KG I'm down to 103KG

    • +1

      Did it affect your sleep?

      • Only if I had it late at night

    • +3

      That's some intense intermittent fasting.

    • Do you even lift bro?

    • Keto and OMAD, sure, but doing these things that are already effective weight-loss strategies and then throwing in mounjaro on top?

    • +2

How much of this do you attribute to boss coffee?

    • +6

      thats 39kg
in the last post u said 37kg
did u lose 2 kg in the last 4 minutes?

      • +1

        Well it's 39 then

        • Tbh it's the mounjaro doing the heavy lifting. I bought LLY at 300 usd.

    • how many calories do you consume per day

      • Less than 50. I don't count the vegetables I eat.

        • +1

          That's extremely extreme……..

          • -1

            @John: It's working

            • +1

@Daddy Chill: Good on you (truly, I know it's not easy as I've been on similar journey). But in most cases extreme approach has a high level of risk because it's not sustainable in the long term, which I'm sure you're aware of. So, it needs extra care. But best wishes definitely

              • @John: Thank you I appreciate it. I'm down to my last 3kg

        • How much vegetables do you eat and what vegetables do you eat?

          • @Ozb101: Probably a handfull of salad leaves, cucumber, olives, capsicum, Fetta cheese, then I told if off with three pieces of chicken tenderloins. I have been eating like this the last 6 months on and off rotating between rump steak and tenderloins and salad, coffee only and water and then vitamins as I was low in vitamin d and iron

            • @Daddy Chill: Right.. I’m assuming 50 cals a day is not what you eat then, its what you eat minus what you expend?

              • +1

@John: bro is trolling btw, dont take it seriously.

              • @John: No I don't count what I eat it if I do have carbs e.g slice of bread, coffee with milk I make sure I stay under 50g carbs

    • What’s your height?

    • Congratulations!!!

      • +2

Thanks mate your the only one to congratulate me on OzSalty. I'm down to 99.8kg

        • +1

We should be more supportive !

  • +1

  • +1

    Thanks boss

  • I tried it when it was on a special price last time but didn't like it much. It has a distinct smell which is a bit different to what I am used to in coffee and also, more importantly, all its variants are a bit too watery. Very low milk/cream content. Those who like black espresso/ long black may like it more. Not a bad price though!

    • +1

I’m the same boat. They use Ace K which might contribute to the uniqueness of its flavour profile. Not as overly sweet as most Aussie flesh-milk iced coffees.

      • I can't see Ace K (Acesulfame potassium) sweetner in the ingredients listing?
5 or 6.2 percent sugar, yes but no Artifical Sweetner.

        • +3

It’s listed as sweetener 950 but upon review it’s only in the one flavour I tried lol - iced latte.

        • +1

          It's listed as sweetener (950)

      • Got to love that sweet flesh milk.

  • Going to have to stock up on the Long Black for the hot droves to work, cheers OP

  • +1

Might try it at this price.

  • +7

My lazy ass is hoping for an Amazon price match.

  • +1

    @amazon

  • +1

They need to bring the mocha back

  • +3

We need Georgia Coffee. Specifically Coffee Banana.

    • I didn't see that flavour for sale, otherwise I definitely would have bought it. Georgia Coffee is great.

      • +2

        It's only found in Hokkaido

        • Ah, well that'll teach me to skip the home of Japanese dairy!

    • I think that was my favourite iced long black over there.

  • Good price.

  • I am now a better me after I discovered Boss.

  • Cheap. Gonna stock up for the road trip.

  • Hasn't the 4-pack been on Special for like $6 before?

    • +1

Base price for the 4 packs is $14, and usually only discount by 40%, so ~$8.40.

Also not all flavour comes in 4 pack.

    • -2

Sounds about right. ACCC will know.

  • Hallo Bosszzuu.

  • -5

Still expensive than the price in Japan.

    • +7

oh ok, why don't you marry japan, then?

  • +3

    ey b0ss

  • -4

yeah anything in a can can't be good for you. I will stick to espresso I make myself I think.

    • So canned fruit and vegetables aren't good for?

      • -3

canned food or drink isn't good for you. fresh is always better.

        • +2

That's just nonsense. There's so much more nuance to it than that.

For example: Fresh tomatoes at the supermarket are inferior in both nutrition and taste to good quality canned tomatoes

There are many other examples of this. Your comment is narrow mided and ill-informed.

Putting something in an aluminium can does not change the nutrition or health of a product. Adding other preservatives and additives to make it last in a can MIGHT. Depending on the additive and/or preservative but the majority of canned goods do not have preservatives added.

          • -3

@OLLIEBE4R: how is it nonsense fresh food is always better than canned. the only reason why anyone would stock up and buy canned food would be emergency rations. I advise you to research the chemical contents of canned goods before you are quick to say canned food is good for you.

            • +3

@kungfuman: It's nonsense because your statement doesn't tell the full picture.

At the supermarket you have vegetables that are inferior in quality and taste due to breeding and GMO practices that are designed to grow as quickly and readily and be available all year round out of season.
As apposed to high quality fruits and vegetables that are packaged during season and kept fresh by preservation as canned goods or freezing.

It's not as simple as Canned = bad, Fresh = good

I agree alot of fresh options are more healthy than canned, but canned foods aren't inherently bad and fresh produce is not always inherently good.
Fresh produce produced in season, allowed to ripen appropriate and grown with natural fertilisers it extremely healthy and nobody would argue that a canned option is better. But that's not the case for a large majority of the produce available to most people.

              • -3

@OLLIEBE4R: again you are not looking at the chemicals that exist in cans. As I said I advise you research

                • @kungfuman: Okay, what resources do you suggest I research then? I'm open to looking into it.

          • +2

@OLLIEBE4R: Yeah don't expect kungfuman to understand things aren't always as simple as they assert.

They couldn't understand why their statement of "all PC's can do what an Xbox can do" is obviously false.

Yeah mate, my 286 plays starfield at 4k 60!
