Do you like the taste? Its so rough for this price point. Anything Scotch at this price is so much more refined. Literally can get Lagavulin aged whiskey.
It's quite smooth and dedicated. My number 1 in JP whisky is still Hibiki by far!
Depends on the year, this one on the post will be far from smooth..
agree should be around $80, But gotta expect the import taxs from AU
Its because of lack of supply.
Even in Japan, you can only buy a bottle by invitation and it costs around $165 AUD on Amazon jp.
There are some random 3rd party sellers selling at $120 aud but you will never know if they are real.
For $130, its a great current price if you like Hakushu.
This is a no from me. This whiskey ain't worth that. Maybe to some it is but to me, it's just not that good.
You will get much better whisky at $130 for non Japanese.
Not worth at this price
Any recommendations?
Starward Solera / tawny
Hellyehs road double cask
Glenturret 10 peated
Lahproaig 10 / quarter cask
Glendronarch 12Just to name a few
If you prefered strong taste then stay away fromJapanese whisky, in fact, almost all Japanese whisky are light taste. Maotai or Moutai is much stronger.
you don't understand the beauty of Jap whisky.
Japanese whisky are known to use stuff from overseas, just search for yourself
You're right, a lot are from imports but this one is made in Japan. It's a little dated, but this inforgraphic is kinda cool https://www.nomunication.jp/2018/07/06/infographic-japanese-…
Used to be $89 then $98 now $130. It's definitely a good price for a great whisky!
