Seiko Presage SRPK93J Cocktail Time Star Bar Limited Edition Automatic Watch $626.50 Delivered @ David Jones

110

SB and WD are currently selling this for $775. It briefly dropped just below $600 recently but wasn't available to most of you plebs.

If you want to get a Presage LE this year, this is the one. The Lark 2 is a POS. This cw is actually very nice imo, and is a lot better than the other Star Bar LE which is also on sale, but has been as low as $499.

Yeah yeah, 600 bucks hardlex blah blah… no one cares. This has an almost GS level dial and is limited to 9k pcs globally. And it has a bracelet which is uncommon for a Presage LE. I got the Lark 1 because FOMO and paid around $600, I might get this one too.

30% off at checkout. Idk when this sale ends. More than 10 pcs at time of posting.

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2024

Lovely dials, thought you would have pulled the trigger. Good deal making the price a lot more sensible. No need for FOMO for 9000 pcs but when you consider it's worldwide then people should still grab one while they are on special.

You can combine this Afterpay DJ offer as well for another $50 back:
RECEIVE a $50 eGIFT CARD when you spend $250 or more^ instore using Afterpay

Also SB 6% cashback (was 7% the other day?)

I was actually going to mention the other Purple sunset Star Bar you linked. Personally I prefer it just for the colour but cannot argue with that black dial. In the end I decided 40.5mm was too big and copped an 39.5mm 'Irish Coffee' from Starbuy for $389. Was enough to spend for a dress watch that will sit in the drawer (but has always been my favorite).

    • The afterpay thing is in-store only. I might buy this if it's still on sale when I get home and there is stock at my local DJs. Otherwise I'm not particularly bothered if I miss out on this one, there'll be more LEs

      • Ah missed that. May be useful for some if their local store has them (and get to inspect and try on). None close to me

Yeah they seem to pump out a lot of Cocktail times and Limited Editions.

Just tried adding to basket DJ online - 8 of purple sunset and 11 of the black.

  • 9000 is not exactly limited. I bet people can still buy it at most rrp next year.

    • They could be around for a while but why pay RRP next year instead of 40% off now!

Really depends on the model for Seiko LEs. For example, last year's Star Bar has reached the clearance bin because it's not moving. Lark 1 was selling at RRP and as soon as the price dropped, it sold out. The Bruce Lee Seiko 5 was an LE or an SE with an undisclosed number of pcs iirc, but still sold out. The two Seiko 5 Peanuts collabs were moving at RRP and both sold out instantly once the price dropped ~15%. Some GS LEs sell out at RRP or even above RRP, and most ADs don't give discounts for LEs unless you've dropped 10s/100s of 1000s at their store and built a relationship.

I bet people can still buy it at most rrp next year.

Sure, if people are willing to pay $950 and the price doesn't drop. But it has already dropped. Depends what SB and TW want to do because they'll offer the biggest discounts. They'll probably try to move the Lark 2 because it's garbage. I think this one will sell out once it drops below $600.

      • SB have 4 in stock just checked.

    • That's Seiko for you. Every model is limited

  • This pleb has two watches and I ain't going to wear them at the same time . Presage isn't all that with their average automatic movement , there's better value in my opinion.

    • Presage are ok for the normal ones when they are on sale for $350-400. Seiko do dials and hands very well, and nothing wrong with the 4R35 for that price. No one pays retail for Seiko remember (always aim for 40% off). Why do you think every aliexpress knock off uses a NH35 etc.

@coffeeinmyveins I think you mean 'unlimited limited' models. There are plenty that aren't LE's.

  • Thanks, picked one up for $596.5 with some 5% off David Jones gift cards.

It has dropped elsewhere around the traps now too. $649 at WD, SB and Linda's, less any additional signup discount.

    • nice one, i grabbed one at WD because I had $350 store credit. 7 left

      SB has 2 left

      3 at Linda
