Black Friday Cheap ANR Headphones around $60

Black Friday Cheap Noise Cancelling (Active Noise Reduction) Headphones around $60

Over-ear marginally prefered to on-ear. For a gift. I am the opposite of an audiophile. Looking for best quality around $60 mark. Wired is OK, having wired capability a must, was looking at Sony MDR-ZX110, but can go a better quality one for that mark with a good deal?

Edit: best I've found so far:

Stretching my budget; but are these worth $20 more?

Edit 2: (+title)

These ones interest me: https://www.amazon.com.au/Sony-Dynamic-closed-type-headphone… But again what sort of quality are we talking about? I would think sony would be better audio quality, and soundcore competes in terms of number of features per price point Edit 3: ZX series seems to come up as super budget often, around 20 GBP, and people have criticised them breaking easily

Edit: 4: Sony ZX is trash, $20 seems like a deal for them

Edit 5: Moved back to primarily wired: https://www.amazon.com.au/JBL-T500-Wired-Headphones-Blue/dp/…

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2024

You could spend hours analysing the 100s of different Chinese budget models available or just get the Soundcore Q30. Solid brand, good quality, works well.

The cheaper model isn’t as good but it still might be fine for you

    • Thanks for the reply.

      Yeah I was filtering for

      UBL; Bose; Sony; Anker.

I thought Sony would be likely to hit the specification, but they seem to have a lot of sub $40 options and few deals on for their >$60 offerings

      Soundcore Q30.

Q30 doesn't allow you to enable ANC when using wired. same on all the 1More Sonoflow models. need to get Soundcore Q35 and models up. Q35 would have been the cheapest but OOS for months now.

so Q30 works wired. but is really 0.5 wired imo because it means no wired ANC function on ANC headphone.

  • Wired is OK, having wired capability a must…

Why a must? If going wireless then Soundcore space q45 is best budget

    • I am a believer in less is more and whether EMR is safe wrapped around your head or not; I think reducing total time of electronics buzzing around your ears and brain is a positive. So when I buy others headphones I give them an aux cable as well.

Edit: I've just bought the aux cable, so that direction is better value

      Soundcore space q45

This is double my budget, I'll update the title - but thanks for weighing in :)

      • Edit: I've just bought the aux cable, so that direction is better value

most if not all wireless ANC headphones come with compatible aux cable in the box. even budget models. so that should be considered in the price.

the thing usually not included in budget models is hard shell case. usually they will include a draw string bag instead.

        • Ah interesting, thanks for adding. I bought a coiled / telephone styled cable cos the straight ones that aren't particularly long drive me mad.

I recently got the edifier 830nb's and ive been quite happy with them, the slightly older 820nbs are currently clearing out at $50 which is very good value
