  • Wonder what the difference is between the mini apart from size

    • Seems like this would be for someone in very chaotic weather conditions

I'm assuming the actuated one is actuated while the mini isn't?

Starlink needs a clear view of the sky so it can stay connected with satellites as they move overhead. The Flat High Performance has the widest field of view which can see 35% more sky and has enhanced GPS capabilities, allowing it to connect to more satellites and better serve mobile users. (from google :) )

    • LOL and you pay a premium for that service

How many years until you can get even for what you pay for with this?

There are so many satellite nbn providers to choose from:

NBN "Sky Muster" sucks and isn't really a comparable offering. Very high latency. Probably only a good option if you have basic internet needs or can't afford Starlink.

    • My sister moved to a rural area that only had sky muster available, the latency makes it close to unusable. Starlink is only comparable to sky muster in the sense that they're both satellites because starlink orbits at 500km while Sky muster is geostationary at 36000km, they're entirely different beasts. My sister spent much more for starlink, and an external antenna to boost 4G, it's the only way to make things like a zoom meeting, or even a phone call, feasible

Sheeeeet. I'm not even regional, not even remotely. By every aspect of my job is comms, and construction in Greenfields estates often has zero. It's a legit nightmare, in a high pressure & pace environment.

Work is rolling-out starlink for each work vehicle. Night & Day difference
