Not a deal for most as the rates are among the worse around. We just gave them the flick three months ago after their fourth rate hike and third FIT decrease in 12 months.

By far the cheapest for me in Victoria (not on the EV plan though)

Same, also in Vic - love the 3 hour free plan from 11 to 2pm.

          Same here.

Slightly more expensive than their competitors, but including the 3hr free component everyday, we're ahead.

    • In Vic with the referral $10 a month, pay in advance and using the 3 free hours for washing and drying we are currently averaging $59 a month for electricity.

    • Cheapest for me in Victoria.

I see demand tariffs for our NSW supply address - we're currently on a flat rate with no demand, so something for buyer to be aware of.

In Victoria I was on a flat rate, but now every retailer has peak / off peak rates. Actually worked out cheaper for me with ovo, but likely depends on who the distributor is.

      • Yeah everyone's gonna be different. It'll all depend on how much and how often I can load up that free 3 hr window. If I had an 11kw charger with my EV, I'd have much more chance of being ahead. It's also 5c/kw more for peak and 2c/kw more off-peak vs the OVO non-free window plan.

Rates via Powershop EV day plan is about half for me. Also has a free 2hr window during the day.

    • Which state? I'm guessing not Victoria

      • Yep Victoria 3109

I used to be with Ovo and they did have good rates. But Powershop is absurdly good for me now.
        $1.10 supply
22.33c both peak and off peak.
        Free between 12-2pm

        • Ovo for me is 16c off peak, 35c peak, 95c daily charge (I'm not doing free usage)…

Power shop is quite a bit higher.

You have an amazing deal though!

  • Far more expensive than AGL for me with Essential Energy.

I suspect ovo only has good rates in Victoria

    • Ironic that OVO is AGL. I guess their multi-brand strategy is working.

  • Ovo does credit checks for connections

    • So does everyone else as they should. All part of being responsible corporate citizens and not selling to people who can't afford to pay their bills

      • I have not had any credit check before for an electricity connection. Atleast they should inform you they would be doing a credit check like what banks do when u apply for a credit card, instead of sneakliy doing it or putting it somewhere that no one notices it.

Go get your free credit check reports. Every time I've churned I've had a credit check.

Experian is shit and missing most checks.

          You need an Equifax report

          • +1

@0 0 0: My bad.. did a equifax report.. it showed all credit checks for the previous churns. was using a third party reporting site, which only showed this one.
