so I got this as a "Olight New User" freebie where you sign up on their official website and you still pay $7.95 for postage. so in my head I thought it's more like $4 for the torch and $4 for postage.

but you can buy the black one right now delivered for only 40c more? no need to sign up to newsletter spam and available to anyone at almost the same price.

I knew it the freebie wasn't technically a freebie, but oh well at least I got the halloween paint job.

also very happy with this keychain torch's performance with a AAA Eneloop Pro. brightness was measured at 87 lumens with Eneloop AAA and total battery life is about 70 mins.

    Ironically one of my most used torches. Over the many much more expensive ones I mean. On a string in my pocket for work. More ironically it’s got non rechargeable batteries (over the many eneloops) in it as they last forever only getting 10 mins of use a day.

      yes I'm not a torch expert but I have one other small Osram torch (that's about 4 times the size) and have been using the Olight i3E a lot more. I will need to take out the battery and charge it soon. probably used over 35 mins out of the 70 mins runtime.

      it's very handy because there are times where you think "if I had a torch this would be a lot easier/faster" and usually you don't have one on your person so you just forget about it and do it without a torch. but so many times since getting this little one I can just find it on my keys and use it within seconds.

      I even find use for it during the day because it's bright enough. used it under the sun once (overcast afternoon not clear day) and it helped me find something in the grass immediately.
