Google Pixel 9 Pro 128GB $147 ($1550 off) with JB Hi-Fi Mobile $99/M 24M SIM Plan (New/Port-in Customer, in-Store) @ JB Hi-Fi

430

$99/M 24M SIM Plan with new number.

Signed up to 128GB Pixel Pro and paid $147 Upfront, then cancelled via the app when I got home.

Total payout $799.92 + $147 = $946.92.

Apparently according to the person, it works with the 256GB as well, but obviously a larger Upfront payment required of $297.

Total payout $799.92 + $297 = $1096.92

GV cannot be taken seperately comes straight off the phone.

Note: this does not work on the XL or standard Pixel 9 as they are on sale atm for outright anyway.

Please make sure to have your full name on the invoice. I only thought about it after as I'm doing the same. Had to go back in store today to get it written up.

  • I am looking for Google Pixel pro 256GB

I see there is a offer from JB HiFi website "Get a $1200 Gift card when you switch your number in store to JB HiFi Mobile on $99 plan over 24 months".

Will that the similar rule to $1550 gift voucher for current Pixel pro deal ?

I can't found the cancellation rule from website ? Do you know how much I need to payback if I cancel the plan ? Can I use that $1200 gift card to buy the phone Google Pixel pro 256GB ?

  • People who take advantage of deals like this should be aware that cancelling so quickly can result in you being banned by Telstra.

This has happened to me. Not sure how long for.

    • How many times have you done this?

      • Once

  • But which payment plan I should select in JB Hi Fi website to pay just to pay 147$ upfront? or do I have to go to store to get such upfront deal?

    • Better to go in and get it.

  • If you want to keep your number after porting in, can you just port out and they charge the voucher repayment fee?

    • If you're going to port out straight away, why not just get a new number?

For anyone looking to get a refund on the initial $99 fee this is how I did it.

Initially, I tried to negotiate it when I was cancelling the plan but was told by 5 different agents that the upfront monthly fee was non-refundable. Looking through the previous threads I found a post by schrodinger-kat that provided the suggested wording for seeking a refund of the initial fee:

Hi, I just signed up with telstra yesterday, but had a change of mind. I've been charged cancellation fee which is fine and I'm happy to pay. But I was also charged the first month fee $99. Is it possible to get a refund on that since I haven't used the service?

Subsequently I cancelled the service and agreed to all the fees. The next day I used the above message in Telstra chat and was given a refund without any issue with the first agent. So for anyone struggling to get the refund in the future, cancel the plan and agree to the fee then ask for a refund of your monthly fee.

    All in all I managed to get the 256GB for $766.59 + $200 (asked for a deal) - $159.09 (TRS) = $807.50

    • Legend.Thank you so much.This worked perfectly.

    • Was this done both times via the JB app? Or am I able to access my plan via the Telstra app too?

      • I used the chat on the Telstra website but the chat in the JB app should work as well.

  • It looks like this deal is replaced with $1350 off plus a plan discount of $10 per month. Works out cheaper if you need the $99/month plan. Doesn't suit me though, I just want a replacement phone. I may still go for it since I can get TRS next month and there may not be another opportunity to get a pixel pro or pro XL this cheap, what does ozbargain think? Alternatively I can replace my 7 pro screen for $355.

    • Do you have a link to this deal? I missed out on this and would like to get a Christmas present for my partner

      • Im in the same boat. Missed these deals and literally dropped and cracked my phone yesterday.

Looking for a Pixel 9 pro
