On sale is a quality M.2 NVMe SSD enclosure from Orico for those who don't mind paying a bit extra for local stock. This one is has an aluminum case with some copper on the inside where the bottom of the SSD touches the case and a thick thermal pad on the top which helps to keep the SSD much cooler than the plastic enclosures.

It has connectivity via USB-C with USB 3.2 Gen 2 10Gbps support and it's compatible with 2280/2260/2242/2230 sized SSDs. A USB-C to USB-C and USB-A to USB-C cable are included.

  I have one of these and it’s blazing fast. Sometimes it’s not detected when I power up my Xbox until I unplug/replug.

  The small plastic that holds down the stick is the weak point. It'll break after a year.

      Just rely on the cover to hold it on place.
      Install the SSD, put on the thermal pad, then close the case to hold it down.
      I don't use this thing often so this works for me. YMMV.

    That bit should be aluminum to withstand the heat & extra-strength from the wedging of ssd: not sure if manufacture say this ?

    Warm days: monitor case temp. with heavy use, maybe reduce use &/or airflows ? They DO get HOT & the plastic won't last?

    Consider something that has EXTRA-support, links below.

    I bought iDSONIX recently & hence can't vouch for it…trials & errors ?
