Lots of government and medical authorities recommend AGAINST using these. No scientific evidence that it helps. Lots of evidence it can be harmful

    • Are these any worse than essential oils in humidifiers?

Many available on 2nd hand market. Bought mine new but probably should've got 2nd hand. Good for when baby is sick, helps breathe better at night sleeping

When used correctly, humidifiers are safe.
      Benefits for Sick Kids:
Moisture for Dry Air: When kids are sick, especially with colds or respiratory issues, dry air can irritate the throat, nose, and airways, making it harder to breathe and sleep. Humidifiers help add moisture to the air, which can ease congestion and reduce coughing, making it easier for kids to sleep.

Soothing to Skin and Airways: Humidifiers can help prevent the skin from drying out, especially if the child is also dealing with fever or dehydration. The added moisture helps keep the nasal passages and throat moist, reducing irritation.

Relief from Congestion: Moist air helps loosen mucus, making it easier for a child to clear their airways. This can lead to a more restful night’s sleep.

      • Where's that from? Sounds like marketing

        • lol , ChatGPT

  • Anyway your kids your choice. I won't be using them for my kids. I did try a cold humidifier previously and found zero difference in health benefits. It did result in creating a lot of condensation which if left for longer periods can result in dangerous mould build-up

  • Had three break / tripping the RCD in about six months. The last time was a refund instead of exchange
