$25 unlocking cost after 6 months

      suggests yes

        Telstra Samsung Galaxy A15 4GX 4GB RAM/128GB Storage $119

        also suggests yes 😂

    • Yes, and possibly strictly to Telstra. So Everyday mobile, etc may not work.

  • should be eligible for officeworks price beat, right?

    • +2

Should be since it's available online

      • Now showing unavailable online… and my local store has no stock :-(

    • +2

Also how the OW staff police 'In stock at our competitor' rule, would not think many WOW stores stock more than 2 or 3 normally.

      • +6

Better to get half price Everyday Extra to use the monthly 10% off on this and groceries

  • I don't believe it has NFC.

  • Has anyone used this before? Can anyone comment on the performance etc?

Maybe useful for in car gps/spotify

    • +1

i have a blackview with the same cpu but it has 8gb and its fine

some heavy apps can strangle it momentarily but its not bad at all

      with 4gb? hmmm

      • I read this thinking you were talking about the blackvue dash cameras and I was so confused LOL

  • +6

No esim and dual sims if you need to know.

    • It's $119 before discounts…

      • +1

Yeah not complaining just that it is not in description. I have to search for the specs.

      • Which discounts

        • Officeworks, everyday extra, gift cards, etc.

  • $100 less with amaysim code and unlocked.

    • Can you expound on this?

    • -2

      How come?
It will cost $69 from Amaysim with the code.
      So it's $50 less, not $100.

    • the Amaysim Samsung A15 5G is unlocked. I used my voucher and ended up paying $29 all up delivered.
Its seems like a good phone that i use for work,
I think the Tesltra version is locked, and my be specific to Telstra hence the "4GX"

  • Shame it doesn't do esim. Almost was a perfect el cheapo.

  • +1

Will it work with Aldi Mobile?

  • +2

    has a headphone jack, apparently

  • -1

    does it work with catch?

    • catch use optus's network. can't imagine it would until it's unlocked.

  • -1

just got one using amaysim coupon code, $19

  • Can you order this online or is it in store only?

    • It can be ordered online

      • +1

not seeing the dropped price yet :(

      • do you know what time it'll be sale price?

        • Not sure all if phones get online sale prices. Might be in store only. Have to wait and see later today. Other items say "not available online" but this has an add to cart button in the catalogue.

  • FYI - Amyasim has the $1 phones back in stock: https://www.amaysim.com.au/devices/phones/optus-x/x-pro

    • It has gone

  • -3

Whats the cheapest way to unlock the phone

  • Price comes up as $279.
Am i missi g something here?

    • +6

Yes, a letter “n” from the word missing.

  • Showing $199

  • $199 here - $80 off

  • Same here $199 only $80 off

  • +2

I went to 2 Woolworths. They told me it’s wrong price on catalogue. They can’t give me for $119. Its actual price is $279 after $80 discount. It’s $199.

    • Thanks for the heads up. I was just about to try that at my local store.

    • -2

get the physical catalogue and goto OW/B price match

    • I just went into the closest Woolies near me that has it and it's $199

    • Checked Belconnen Mall shop - $199 there too.

  • Yeah 199 here as well

  • +4

i called officeworks but they said they couldnt price match it cause their model is slightly diff. but i also called woolies (online) and they said i can place the order for $199 but they will refund the difference (making it $119) once i do my click and collect. so might be worth calling woolies online for anyone interested :)

    • Are they making a note now or do they want you to just show the catalogue to the person at c/c? Wondering if I’ll need to go grab one.

      • +1

the operator i spoke to said they were making a note on my acct now!

  • +2

I just spoke with customer service and they put in a call to their online department. I was told the online/in-store price will be updated to the correct price of $119 in a couple of hours :-)

    • +1

Yep, support told me the same thing.

      • +1

        Almost 12pm now- no change

  • -1

    lmao I don't understand…

If the item isn't the right price in store, like if it's 119 but I pay 199…aren't I entitled to get the item for free per their scanning code of practice? So what, because this is online and doesn't get physically scanned, it's not applicable? Interesting.

    • They no longer do that since 2023. I had couple of items picked up in store in the past with incorrect prices, they used to do a full refund.

  • -3

I will go with this https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/874546
much better version 5g.. you can buy Amaysim $200 voucher code for $40 - $70. Then you can get unlocked much better version for less than $119.

  • Anyone have photo of the catalogue as they won’t honour without?

    ;(

    Many thanks 🙌🙏🙌

    • I thought you can view the catalogue online?

      • The phone section of this catalogue only appears online hence the stores’ resistance to price matching as it may be “online only” they claim

        • ah, ok, make sense. But the online price is still currently reflecting as $199 until it is fixed.

  • Looking to buy this phone for my daughter (high school-er).
Can someone please help to clarify below:
    1) Re $25 unlocking cost after 6 months — who/where can we unlock it?
    2) What mobile sim plans you guys are taking with this phone? I see Boost supports Telstra but their plans are expensive and way over our usage requirements (max 120-150gb for a year) - https://boost.com.au/collections/all?sort_by=best-selling

    Thanks for your help.

  • +2

Went to the store and waited 45 minutes of checking and finally they gave me two @ 119 each
Initially they told me it was a pricing error.
How do I upload a receipt?

  • +1

Currently at Woolworths Windsor. One of the service members is a fellow ozbargainer and a legend but the service manager is a hard no on honouring the online price :((((

    • How did you go?

  • I called Telstra about unlocking the phone. They said under 6 months the cost is between $80-120. Between 6 months and 1 year $80. After 1 year, free.

    • Mobileunlocks charge you 15 usd

      • Really?? So I don’t need to go direct with the carrier?
Sorry, I haven’t had to unlock a phone since my Note 5 and this one’s for my grandma haha

      • I never use this external unlock service, is it generally working?

        • When I searched up “is mobileunlocks legit” I got negative results but….i might just give it a go lol

  • Was in the store this morning and they did not want to honour the price. Spoke to instore customer service support who confirmed that the deal is both online and in store. It is listed in the online catalog only - page 48. Use your 10% off and you only pay $107. Stock appears to be limited, prices may also vary from state to state. I am in QLD. Good luck!

  • @ OhNoUShiz I used them before. But years back and seems good.
Always use a credit card with caution as the details may get compromised.
Buy the service at your own risk

  • I thimk WOW got it wrong.
They had this phone on 25% off @199
Then they took another $80 from discounted price.
Someone made an error when puting together the catalogue

  • +1

Thanks picked up at my local, happy to match the $119 online catalogue price

  • +1

Should have checked but this shoukd work with woolworths mobile which is on the telstra ( wholesale ) network…

    Edit apparently not :(

  • Found it! Page 48 of the Weekly Specials catalogue on the Woolworths site (Home / Catalogue / Weekly Specials Catalogue for your state.)

  • +1

Now Woolworths fix the catalogue. And they change the price to $199. If someone has snapshot of old price pls upload on ozbargain. U can claim $80 from Woolworths customer service.

    • lol so the $119 was a price error even though they said it wasn’t!

  • Yes $119 price error. If u have snapshot of old price $119 u can claim from Woolworths customer service.

  • Does anyone manage to snapshot it?

    • +1

I did. Will post after i confirm with customers service

      • How did you go?

        • You can still find the 'old' catalogue via 3rd party site.

        • Unsuccessfull - was told its a price error

  • Was just told to order the phone at $199 and will be refunded the $80 in a few days. Maybe contact customer service 1800000610

    • was this just now ie after the catalogue price was updated?

  • +1

    https://imgur.com/a/QZuC7fn

Screenshot from the page this morning. I was able to price beat with Officeworks for $113.05

    • Thanks but it didn't work for me sadly.

  • customer service lady on the phone was nice but no dice in terms of a $80 refund or anything like that, she said she couldn't see anything abt $119. she instead suggested using the online chat, since you can send thru the catalog screenshot there.

no luck with officeworks price beat either. sad
