$10 cheaper than Olight direct who have the orange colour for $76.97. even with $7 off coupon hidden on BF products it still works out cheaper from amazon.
Olight direct coupons do not stack.

different colour torches seem to have different K temperatures. the black with blue clip in deal link is 4 to 5K, torch people seem to prefer lower K.

⁕Baton 3 Pro 1500 lumen (Black 4K to 5K) $66.47

⁕Baton 3 Pro 1500 lumen (Green 5.7K to 6.5K) $66.47

one more example is Seeker 4 Pro in all colours is $149.96 Delivered. $174.96 on Olight directly, so even after 7% coupon I have it's $162.71 still $13 cheaper from amazon.

I checked a few more of the smaller ones they were equal price or few $ cheaper from Olight direct (after coupon).

  • You’re right, torch people do seem to prefer lower kelvin and higher CRI or colour rendering index. 4000k for me is perfect but not 5000k so Olight once again don’t get my money.

    • I think it’s 4000K to 5000K depending on brightness. so 4000K (or close to) on low and medium. and maybe 5000K in brighter modes such as high and turbo.

in before torch person comes and comments “that’s how it works for all LED’s”.

  • I want to buy a super bright torch for camping type situations but know nothing about torches. This a good one?

    • it’s a bit of an expensive brand to be honest but I think quality is good.

this model is only 2cm in diameter and 10cm long. but at least it uses 18650 size battery.

if you look at their more “normal” sized models you are quickly looking at over $100 even during sale and buying direct from Olight with coupon.

Olight also seem to spend a lot on marketing, if you consider that good or bad.

if you want your dollar to go further Sofirn seems to be a ozb loved budget torch brand that doesn’t skip on quality.

    • Need a bit more info really.

If you're looking for only one torch to get for camping, get a headlamp.

So much easier to fish hands free, put up a tent hands free, cook hands free…

But if are looking at multiple torches (as you should be :D) are you looking for a torch that can light up 100 metres away to spot something? Or one that can make your immediate position visible from space?

But yeah, I probably wouldn't be getting this one for camping though.

      • Maybe camping is a bit of the wrong word to use here, but i judt mean outdoor low light situations out of the city.

Something ridiculously bright if i really want go light up an entire path or something. Ideally also operable as a 'normal' torch though and not ridiculously heavy or big

        • I guess this wouldn't be too bad. Although I wasn't a huge fan of the tint of the Olight torch I had a while back as it was rather green. They have apparently improved that since then, so that's good and shouldn't be a drama. And 1500 lumens is bright outside at night whichever way you look at it.

But if you want something ridiculously bright, I'd probably be looking for something more like a Sofirn SP36 variation. They usually go on sale for around this price or a bit cheaper. And depending on the version, will have at least 5000 lumens, so a fair bit brighter than this. Obviously they're not going to last at maximum, the same as any bright torch, but with 3 batteries will also last longer than this one at a comparable brightness.

Although with three batteries they do have a larger diameter body. So might be a bit big, they're not huge. But they're not something I'd put in a pocket generally either. But they've got the full range from moonlight (really really low) to pretty FO bright.

    • The Shadowhawk is my personal favourite:
      https://amzn.asia/d/b1INdGo

For when you want darkness to f right off.
Or when you need a hand held flashbang.

Its cheaper than this Olight, I don’t know if it is 30,000 lumens as it states, but it throws so much light its absolutely filthy.

    • nice even cheaper. didn’t think to check eBay.

      • They have multiple eBay Store but only Olight Direct Store can be stacked with eBay Coupon.

        • good to know thanks.

one thing though can’t find K mentioned anywhere in title or description.

in the 2nd picture and description it says “choose between cool white and neutral white” but you can’t choose any option on eBay page?

          • +1

@n3ck3ntry8bort0rgasm: Appears only the Cool White is available from that eBay Store.

            • @RichardL: found a few more slightly cheaper than Olight direct website (I checked some prices earlier today after applying max discount BF coupon).

I’ll let users find the real deal in the comments. they have way too many similar named models that makes comparing prices and figuring out which is newer time consuming. cbb right now. 😬🥱

I think the higher prices on their website after coupon is because of the “free” gift, I got the RGB strip lights auto added to my cart and no matter what I can’t remove it. I would rather pay less from eBay store and not get the stupid RGB lights.

            • @RichardL: Yeah - looks like it from the photos huh? shame.. was going to order one. Pretty good feedback on Reddit.
