28 Degree Card Vs DJ Card

I have both cards.

The cards cost around $100 each per year. The David Jones card offers more retail benefits but charges 3% on overseas purchases. The 28 Degrees card has no fees for overseas transactions.

Does anyone else have both or have you closed one of them? Any advice?

  • I’ve got 28 degrees, but looking for a new one (with the new monthly charge). I DID use the free travel sim though for a recent OS trip, and did use it quite a bit While over there

  • Bendigo Ready CC.

  • If I didn’t have price protection I’d be cancelling my latitude 28d card. ATM I have random transactions not showing in my account, they did show 3-4 days ago , now missing. My available credit shows that it should still be on account. Customer service says yes they can see it but no they cannot explain why it’s missing when I login.

WTF kind of a joke is this mob now.

Their customer service is a joke - most incompetent employees I have dealt with.

      • I could only assume they are trying to piss everyone off and hope for another wave of max exodus/ account closures by customer so they can finally get rid of all the grandfathered price protection holders

  • They're very different cards.

    • Do you shop at DJs or Overseas more?
    • Do you price protection(eg: buy now, look for bargains later)?
    • Are you happy performing tricks to get gift cards to compensate for an annual fee?
  • I still have 28d for price protection and the other benefits like overseas travel and free esim. But I don't know why anyone would sign up for new 28d card. Better off with a Bankwest which I believe is 0 annual fee and free overseas transactions (so I've heard)

I've signed up with bankwest since dropping 28 degrees. Best decision I've made to drop 28 degrees

Bankwest - Simple and fast processing of the application vs 8 + weeks and dicking around from Bendigo

0 fees and no transaction fees

No travel insurance though but i never used them for that anyways.

    • I have BW and 28d. Annoying that there's no free travel insurance anymore with BW but it's no annual fee is good.
