Molten GF7x - Legit Ones Anywhere?

Hey,

We run a local comp in Victoria, and we use Molten GF7x, these are now discontinued, and ours are unfortunately wearing out. The guys really like the GF7x's but not so much the BG4000/4500. There are a bunch of fakes out there, but would be looking for a new/nearly legit one. I found some in NZ, confirmed with the store, but they only take POLI (it still exists there!), so not going to do that.

Probably a long shot, but anyway. Here it is.

Very unlikely. They've been discontinued for about 5 years now.

Great basketballs the GF7x and GG7x.

I do see heaps of fakes for sale. I've inspected some fakes that another player has purchased online, it feels pretty good but the printing is a giveaway that it's fake.

I'd check out the Wilson Evolution, Evo or the Spalding TF1000 if you want a game ball for your local competition.

Spalding TF750 or TF1000 is a great ball

Was lucky to get given one each at the end of last season as our club gets new ones

GF7s were great. I have a BG4000 and it feels more 'plastic'. Got my BG4000 for $95.
If you want something legit, wait for a sale and buy direct from Molten.

Otherwise I would just get TF1000's.

I like the feel of the EVOs but I've never seen it used in a competition.

    • Yeah I have the 4500 and it's slippery as anything.

  • I managed to get them from the random gym in Auckland! Fair mess around for some balls, lol, hopefully they are the real deal.
