But a total opposite for me
Persona 5 as great as it is - the dating I didn’t even bother with. The game also dragged towards the end.
Yup because this is not Persona. If you have been following the project from the beginning when it was called Project Re Fantasy, you will know that it is meant to be a more traditional JRPG story.
The best part of this game was they took out all the Persona but kept the Persona.
Exactly how I felt as well.

Being an ATLUS game, wonder if they have "deluxe/royal/vengeance" version later on. I guess I'll wait for the full version, don't want to make the same mistake again.
Based on history, seems guaranteed.
Plenty of games in the back catalogue to play in the meantime!
I would argue that those "deluxe/royal/vengeance" versions are not necessarily the "full version" per se - they are just different. These "enhanced" versions are not necessarily enhanced nor better.
They just add content to make it more refreshing to those of the fanbase who already played the original and are playing it again.
Just because they add content doesn't necessarily make it a better experience. If anything, the original might be better.
This is particularly the case for Persona 5 and P5R.
