Found this deal on Telstra, $679 for console including delivery.
First time poster so hopefully this shows accurately!
Seems like a good deal compared to other places

Price cuts are expected, particularly for the digital version. Need to wait for Nov 22.

Has anyone had any success price-matching with JB on this one?
Dont know how you would have gone price matching before the store opened but I would say now they are open you wouldn't have a problem as the deal doesnt appear to be attached to any plan. I would suspect the next couple days many other outlets will be around this price or cheaper with the black friday sales starting.
Awesome, thank you, I appreciate the reply!
are these still the best value 4k blurry players?
I don't find the 4k movies blurry on my PS5, actually I find them extremely clear : ) .
*bluray
Dont forget, ps5's can be quite loud, something to consider if your going to use it for movies, which is why i bought a stand alone panasonic player, which ironically costs more than a ps5 lol
Will JB Hi-Fi price match?
Will be cheaper in a few days when all the Black Friday catalogues start. I heard at least one place was going with $629 but not going to name anything until i have that confirmed.
Target selling for $645: https://www.target.com.au/p/playstation-5-console-digital-ed…
That's a digital edition
Is the pro version rsion worth it for almost twice the price?
No
No, especially with no disc drive fitted to the pro. Good luck finding a disc drive even if you wanted the pro, if you're happy with digital downloads only , the pro becomes less of a rip-off pricewise. (by $159)
Damn… Hoping a store sells a PS5 console at a discount which also accepts afterpay. Want to shout my sister a console for christmas.
Most do dont they? JB, EB Games, Bigw….
EB Games would be the LAST LASSSTTT place I'd look. They over charge on everything! Like their games they sell them at $5-$15 MORE compared to other stores and I have negative history with them… like the time they sold me a BANNED Xbox Series X console (Even tho they claim themselves they are checked).
As for the other stores I'm keeping my eyes peeled and also keeping an eye on ozbargain too. This Telstra offer seems to be the first so far.
HODL for Black Friday.
