Pointless deal given it’s accumulative and not all given after 45 days.

You still receive the full bonus holding the policy for the year, and you'll also get 10% off once a month in store.

Only pointless if you want to churn multiple policies all year for bonuses, which most people don't.

      • I remember collecting $100 Woolworths giftcard with their content which would only cost me $18 each time.

        • Pepperidge Farm remembers

    • Only if you're churning. If you actually keep the policy, you get the $10 per month off and 10% off your shopping each month.
Feel free not to use the code. It saved me $120 off my insurance premium, and will save me a further ~$240 off my grocery bill over the next year.

i post this everywhere but EDI are really bad when it comes to cancelled policies. i was with them but found a better quote elsewhere on renewal so went with another insurer and cancelled EDI. Received confirmation and everything.
Then on the old renewal date, recieved messages about payment not going through. You see my old expired card was on their file and despite having cancelled my policy, they tried debiting me anyway. I contacted them, where they confirmed my policy was cancelled yet denied they tried to debit me (even after showing them the email). They reconfirmed the policy is cancelled anyway.
Next day, another message, another attempted billing.
So I wouldnt trust them to run a shower. Avoid at all costs and do not store payment details with them if you choose them anyway

Shop around. Mine was significantly cheaper with budget direct, not even close even after factoring in the $120 bonus.

I'm with Woolworths for car insurance though, same story, way cheaper for me than any other provider

    • Yes. My policy is up for renewal at end of Nov, and have been getting quotes and EDI is more than twice that of other quotes, and $120 won't make a dent in the difference.

    • Totally. My house has a heritage overlay (not heritage listed) imposed by the local council, which rules out budget direct and a number of other insurers. Many insurers have started to exclude overlays which is pretty annoying.

      • Thanks for the heads up.

  • Quoted 3100 and my renewal with current insurer is 2100 ( up from 1700 last year)

  • That was by far the most expensive insurance quote I've ever received

  • expire
