      Taste maybe, nutritional value no.

      • -4

If nutrition is your concern I'd be avoiding soy milk.

          Just comparing the two brands.

        • Could you explain? I drink soy milk every day. I hope to know whether I need to stop it.

@Suricate: Get a soy milk maker and make your own. These store-bought products often have added ingredients for flavor, but they are not healthy.

This contains vege oil (sunflower oil) and calcium phosphates.

    • Yes ingredients are on the back.
Saturated fats are still low and calcium phosphate is good for you so no need to worry.

Nothing is perfect but saturated fats aren't as bad as we once thought.
Phosphorus linked to cancer in multiple studies.
Vege oil/seed oils is pretty much the devil - pufas, heart disease, cancer.

          Wrong

        • -2

Yeah not sure where you are getting your information, any studies too back that up?

All oils are bad, small amounts are fine.

@G-rig: There's plenty out there. I didn't want to get into an internet war, merely highlighting in comments for those looking out for these things.

            • @rainbowunicorn: Fair enough, it's a natural element no need to be scared of it. Would be healthier than dairy milk.

It's so odd that the internet has gone wild demonizing these things," said Dr. Christopher Gardner, a professor of medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine in California and a nutrition scientist at the Stanford Prevention Research Center. "They are not to be feared."

The misleading charge is that seed oils are high in omega-6 fatty acids that break down into toxins when used for cooking, causing inflammation, weakening the immune system, and contributing to chronic illnesses.

That argument is flawed in numerous ways, Gardner said.

First, while seed oils do contain high levels of omega-6 fatty acids, that's not a bad thing. Omega-6 is a polyunsaturated fat the body needs but cannot produce itself, so it must get it from foods. Polyunsaturated fats help the body reduce bad cholesterol, lowering the risk for heart disease and stroke. The American

"In summary, numerous lines of evidence show that the omega-6 polyunsaturated fat linoleic acid promotes oxidative stress, oxidised LDL, chronic low-grade inflammation and atherosclerosis, and is likely a major dietary culprit for causing CHD (coronary heart disease) especially when consumed in the form of industrial seed oils commonly referred to as ‘vegetable oils’.

    • If you are concerned about added oils the light version mentioned earlier has no added oils

These work great with a coffee machine frother. No reason to buy expensive barista products.

    • Yeah perfectly fine. Usually grab this when I don't want to buy bonsoy.

  • Aldi organic soy milk 1L carton is $1.49.
Organic soybeans (not isolate), no added sugar (they use organic rice syrup). Other ingredients: water, organic sunflower oil, calcium, sea salt.

    • Yeah happy with coles organic at $1.60

    • Ingredients not the cleanest in that cheapest aldo one (they have a more expensive 'organic one '. One could say syrup has sugar in it.
