Honey roasted, Lime & Black Pepper and Wasabi are awesome! Yes, this is only a little cheaper than the supermarkets but imho the quality is way better!
I would never try to hide the taste of a macadamia nut with shitty flavourings. Those flavours are for peasant nuts like peanuts and almonds.

Honey-roasted macadamias are quite tasty, but I think the flavours are added to macadamia that don't pass the "quality tests",
eg. split, small size, etc…and so they can sell them too. They sound awesome to me. Nothing wrong with something different.
My thoughts exactly!
weird taste
The nuts are superior quality and the flavours are awesome. They were a hit last Christmas, I've been waiting for this deal. Thanks OP
bought 3. prices not as cheap as coles, but good to support local businesses
not where I live……
how much are the Coles prices ?
I sometimes buy unsplit macadamias from fruit markets for $40 - $45 per kilo.
$18 for 400g. Woolies is cheaper
I read that full, round macadamias dearer because they "taste better",
hence, why the split and smaller macadamia nuts are sold via supermarkets, at cheaper prices.I don't know how true this is, because I am not a macadamia connossieur, though I do enjoy them.
@whyisave: Whole macadamia kernels are called Style 0. Style 1 are halves, and so on.
My local nut place buy in bulk from Coles and then repackages it. Manage to see heaps of Coles nuts lying in the storeroom.
I like the Woolies ones that are around $15 for 400g
Usually $15.40 for 400g. This week its $13.
This week its $13.
Bargain.
With the 10% off, it will be $11.70. That's $29.25/kg.
10% off?!
@chilln2006: Yes, twice a month… With Rewards memberships.
@jv: Twice a month? I thought that was once a month
@navshaf: Once online and once instore if you do it in the right order, I heard
@wetsandwich: That no longer works.
@navshaf: I also have a mobile account with them. I get two 10% off at Woollies and one at Big W each month.
That’s nice dear.
Cheaper at coles for Aus grown. Not a bargain
Giving it a plus as the previous neg commenter doesn’t seem to understand that Auspost are taking half of the money. Which doesn’t apply at Coles.

Giving it a plus
That makes no sense at all…
Happy to pay the $2/kg more that these cost over coles to support a small Australian business.
Ordered last time they had a sale and really enjoyed them, they were so much nicer than the leftovers the major supermarkets sell.
Happy to pay the $2/kg more
These are $13/kg more…
they were so much nicer
That is subjective.
nutsaboutlife has raw macadamia for $35 a kilo
And they had macadamia sale a month back when I got kg for $26.
yeah, i bought a shit load a year ago when they were $16/kg. The 6 bags kept me going for 8 months (they kept well in the fridge).
macnuthut's quality is better that last time I tried from both places.
search the last deal from nutsaboutlife and read the commentsI have always had from nuts about life and had no issues. Difference of $26/kg and $42/kg is huge. To each to their own :)
Thanks OP. Ordered.
They were delicious last time, especially the wasabi.Dang shouldve treated myself instead od reloading my time zone card
Would be keen to try these ones. I normally buy the Aldi ones - around $13.50 for 400g, which I like as they taste alot more "buttery" compared to the Coles ones which I find dry.
The Aldi ones are better.
Devo Hickory are not in stock, those and lime/pepper are the best imo.
While we are talking nuts, I recently had pecan butter. It was so, so good. And I'm pretty neutral on pecans. Bloody hard to find though. That's all.
I find the less tasty ones to be healthier because the better they taste the more likely I'll eat the lot in one day. I dread someone telling me how many calories there are in a kilo of macadamias.
Dread away, there are 7,180 calories in a kilo or > 30,000 kJ .
Are their milk chocolate macadamia nuts any good?
I'm interested in buying bulk to pack as christmas presents. I previously bought bulk from byron bay coffee, the chocolate portion was average. I'm looking for higher quality chocolate but all the big brands sell in small quantities at steep prices.
Recommendations welcome.
I've bought them many times, I can recommend them.
Just got my order. They are awesome. The chocolate was nice and not excessively thick. Honey maca is also really good. Buttery and not too sweet.
For the posters saying supermarkets are cheaper, these are much better quality In my opinion and I've tried both Coles and Woolies.
If you want some weird tastes maybe. But if you just like raw macadamia what's the point? $42 a kilo is pretty average.
