the prices seem to be more than prices on the Dan Muphys websites even after the discount
have to upload an ID to even check the final price?
Bottle of Rivka 35 on Dan site, 46 on DoorDash (before any service fees/delivery etc).
$46 after the 20% off?
No no. I can't see the final price cos i'm not uploading my licence or passport to Doordash, sorry, someone else can do it.
46 x (1 - 20%) = $36.80.
Add 9% service fee for final cost with Dashpass.Have people forgotten how to math?
@pennypincher98: Was i meant to divine what the percentage service fee is? I've never used dashpass. Also, is this order eligible for free delivery? I dont know, the dashpass deal says you get free delivery on "eligible" orders, whatever that means. As i said, i can't see the final price because you are required to actually use your phone and scan them a copy of your passport / licence before you can advance to see it.
@Iggemo: The service fee % does not change based on the order. Put a pizza in your cart for all I care lmao.
There's big blue text on every "eligible" store saying $0.00 delivery fee on $20+.
All of this is very visible information, but you'd rather downvote than open your eyes.
@pennypincher98: Me thinks someone has already had their Dan’s delivered.
I'm not comfortable uploading an ID, and I don't want to buy liquor via DoorDash. Also, what if their system gets hacked or DoorDash sells personal data?
Exactly, i feel the same. I mean… when do companies get hacked and all their user info get stolen, right? LOL i mean it's DoorDash ffs i absolutely do not want to upload a licence or passport to them.
Blame our liquor laws set up making everyone legally obliged to do this lol.
Doordash is also hardly the first target for information either.. GPs/Dentists, health insurance, real estates, banks, telcos, government etc all have much more data.
I do have to ask though if you're not wanting to buy liquor via Doordash, why are you worrying about it?
I've had alcohol delivered plenty of times without ever having to literally scan a copy of my ID on phone and submit to to their platform for "safe" keeping previously.
@Iggemo: You not realising they've recorded information does not mean it hasn't happened.
Its really no different if they scan an ID versus record ID number. No hacker is looking through photos lmao.
But yes you probably shouldn't upload your ID because it sounds like you have no clue about cybersecurity which makes you vulnerable.
unavailable - too far - there's one walking distance <2km from me?! weird
Dan murphy’s was just added to doordash today. Im sure it’ll work if you try again in a days as they might be adding stores in batches.
Most items are more expensive than store price even after 20% off plus service fee.
Example: Great Northern Super Crisp $69 on doorsash and $56 (for members) in store.Your better off using the NRMA discount at Dan Murphys
Seems to be limited to NSW? I cant get Dan Murphy's to show up in Perth.
