    Dammit I wish I wasn't poor.

  • +1

Been looking at something like this for a while. Can anyone share a first hand review?

    • +2

I had S6 previously and this is wayyy better
No complaints except at the time was too poor for Q Revo max

      • +3

interesting definition of poor, spending $1k on a robo vac ;)

        • 2 average incomes….. vs hours cleaning a floor.

Probably cheap if you consider that.

    • I previously had an S2 and have been holding out for one with a good mop. I'm really happy with this one and how well it mops the floor. Vacuuming is still great, but not significantly better than my S2 in my opinion. My main complaint is that you need to run a vacuum and then mop cycle and I can't work out how to schedule that in the app. The Vac & Mop simultaneous feature is pretty poor. I'm also not keen on the fact that, while the robot is bagless, the docking bin uses a bag.

Overall, very happy for $1099 and this price is even better, would buy again.

    • +4

This is good but go with one level up for MaxV which is great for better obstacle avoidance.

    • +1

Can't compare with other models, as I recently purchased this as my first robo vac. It was an impulse purchase and I honestly didn't expect too much. I have a very small house with timber floors and a couple of rugs. This vac is AWESOME. I'm so impressed and can't believe I waited so long to get one. I especially love how well it mops the floors removing all the pet fur and dirty paw prints.

    • I purchased this when it was down to $1499 last black Friday.
A good unit. Cleans and mops very well. It is, however, sometimes a bit of a pain since we have 2 young kids that leave little toys all over the house. It will get either stuck or jammed. We usually try to do a bit of tidying up and put things away like tiny toys, socks etc before the schedule kicks in. So far cables have not been an issue. It goes well when chairs and other furniture etc are moved often too. Not sure how more expensive units with better obstacle avoidance fairs against Legos, but overall very satisfied. Especially at this price.
Or may be worth considering paying a bit more for ones with cameras if you are in the same boat.
My coworker has an Ecovacs something with a camera and he's able to remotely control it while seeing where it is. He did get it unstuck from a rug whilst at work.

I've had my Qrevo for just over 12 months. Absolutely love it! All robot vacs are never as good as a proper vac and mop from a human but it's amazing at keeping the house at a decent level of cleanliness. We do keep it away from USB charging cables because it sometimes struggles to detect the smaller objects but overall it's been amazing.

The app is good for setting up rooms and no go zones etc

We still do a proper vac and mop maybe ever few weeks but it's a great feeling coming home after work to a clean floor.

    • +2

      It's decent.

      Cons:
It will get stuck on shoelaces and cords.
It can't clean the bathroom for shit.
Dividing up rooms in the app is glitchy.

      Pros:
Every room except the bathroom is pretty clean without me doing anything (in 3 weeks I've refilled the water once).
      Set up was super easy.
Aside from laces/cords object avoidance is good.
I have a cool map of my apartment.
      The robot is kinda cute.

      • +7

        ayoo last one kinda sus

        • In the absence of a pet, it's probably the next best thing.

        • it's good at suckin

      • +1

It can't clean the bathroom for shit.

Can you let us know which robot is able to clean shit aswell ??

      • Why can't it clean the bathroom?

    • +1

I have this but the MaxV version and it's wild how good it is. Our floors always have toys/clothes/books etc as well as power/speaker cables and it very rarely gets stuck and does a great job cleaning.

    • As above had a Roborock S5 MaxV before and this one is WAY better. Moping is better, gets lost far less often. The best thing that is never mentioned is how quiet it is. The old S5 was really too noisy to run it while you were in the room, but this Q revo is quiet enough to have it running while you are in the room. Its great.

    • Not recommended at all. There is no customer sevice in Australia. I had Qrevo max v, it died in 6 months. Contactacted customer service and recieved standard warranty denial message. This brand is only recommended as long as you dont expect after sales. This is my recent experience from few days ago.

        Hi Munirdotcom

Sorry to hear about your experience. Could you please PM me your order details inc SN(serial number) I will investigate further? The QRevo Max V does come with a warranty, and it’s unusual for claims to be denied without review. I would definately look into this and help resolve the issue.

        • Sure, I will message you right now. I bought from Mobileciti. All what Mobileciti does is hand you contact details of suppliers to sort warranty yourself. When the warranty was denied all the communications are shared with mobileciti team and all i hear is "we are looking into it".

If you can assist, I will for sure post my experience.

            @Munirdotcom: Hi Munirdotcom

Apologies for the delay in responding, as I needed time to request more details and properly review your case. The service center informed us that water was found inside the unit and packaging, which led to the warranty denial.

I’ve sent you the inspection video via PM for reference. Could you please share any details about the unit’s condition before returning it? This will help me work with our team and service partners to explore a solution for you.

Thank you for your patience, and I’ll do my best to assist further.

@AHUANG: Final update on my Comment for all OzBargainers. Thanks for reaching out and all the support.
Had worst experience with MobileCiti, almost 2 months of back and forth emails. MobileCiti doesnt have own warrant support, they only connect you with supplier, in this case it was Roborock. Roborock has almost no warranty setup in Australia. For my 6 months old unit I was denied warranty, MobileCiti made excuse of water damage, for a device that runs with water all the time.
Inshort, as a Retailer Mobileciti didnt support at all. I would highly recommend against buying anything from Mobileciti.
Cherry on the cake is after denying warranty for a $2000 robot, MobileCiti offered me to buy another unit from them and said they will give me discount :p.
Please if someone has good experience with Consumer and Fair trading dept please DM me as I will be pursuing this with Authorities. Thanks all

              Best Regards

@Munirdotcom: That's a shame, they post a lot on ozb as well.

I would be going back to both, after lodging ACCC inquiry.

@impoze: Thanks Impoze, I will immediately do that.

Wish me all the best on this!

                  Best Regards

        • Updated Comment: Lot of people has reached out to me to get my feedback on " how was the response from MobilCiti" . Just to update all at the moment all I got from MobileCiti is " we are working on this" and " our management is looking into it". I still cant recommend Mobileciti for those who wanted to go for black friday deals. Once there is some positive reply, I will update all.

          • +1

@Munirdotcom: sorry, but that is hilarious and sad at the same time, because you literally complained about the way they handled it in the past and now are repeating the exact same mistake.

            • @Blitzfx: Thanks for your sympathy. Struggling with Mobileciti. Apparently the OP here is CEO of MobileCiti and the reply I am getting from MobileCiti customer service is, our management has been informed and they are looking into it.
Thanks again for your reply Blitzfx

@Munirdotcom: Thanks for heads up. Hopefully JB or Amazon come to the party this week with a sharp price on the MaxV to use with gift cards

            • @impoze: Agreed impoze.
I have had excellent customer service experience with Amazon and JB. Both are trust worthy brands. Incase original brand fails to support like Roborock, both JB and Amazon takes full responsibility unlike MobileCiti who acts as intermediary.
              Thanks for your message

          • @Munirdotcom: Final Update:
Thanks to all the OzB friends support and guidance. My issue is sorted, finally Mr Huang from MobileCiti stepped in and sorted the issue with Roborock. I found Roborock not much supportive, however with proper documented evidence and facts MobileCiti did sort out the warranty. I got a replacement unit in place of faulty unit. Learning was that if you have all the evidence and you are right, MobileCiti do support. Thanks to Mr Huang from MobileCiti.

            Best Regards

Also the one I'm hanging out for, hopefully under $1.2k

Fantastic spreadsheet, thank you for sharing.

    • +5

Agree. Waiting for it to hit $1k.

  • Hanging for a deal on the Revo S

    • doesn't look too different from regular QRevo using the Roborock comparison

      • The Q Revo S has higher suction, fix for the leaking mop issue, quieter and upgraded the mop washing tray which makes cleaning it heaps easier.

        • It will probably be around the same price if the maxV though since it's newer?

  • I have 2 sunken lounge. What happens when it goes in sunken area . Can it go up again?

    • lol.
Actually Roborock have a new model of Q revo called the curve, which can lift itself quite higher than these, and jump up a small step even higher by doing a run up.

      Not available in Oz.

    • i will take it if that is the case. I am poor

  • Is it fair to say this is the best vaccum robot below 1k mark?

  • How the warranty works for these? who pays for return postage? refund, exchange or repairs? sent back just the dock/vacuum or the whole lot?

    • +1

      • Resolutions may include repair, replacement, or refund, depending on the issue and the unit's age.
      • Whether you return the dock, vacuum, or both depends on the issue - details will be provided after assessment.
      • Thank you … ordered the maxV

        • Thank you for your support!

  • It's back btw
