Recommendations for Some Good Steak Knives

Was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a decent set of steak knives (4 to 6)?

My old ones are starting to rust so have to go. Hopefully something that will come on special for Black Friday (all good if not though).

Much appreciated.

    Victorinox

    • If they dont cut off your fingers before hand, they will slice your steak perfectly

if they don't slice your steak, they'll cut through your plate

but seriously, these are sharp AF. Sliced my finger with one when i first got it

I have several Victorinox Steak/Tomato knives which are fantastic. I bought two black ones initially and after cutting myself taking them out of the dishwasher, my next 4 were red handled ones so I can spot them easily in the dishwasher basket. They are that sharp.

  • I have a bridge for sale (and it comes with a free set of steak knives).

  • You can get a set of 4 steak knives from Ikea for $8

Rust? What are they made of?
    But +1 for Victorinox.

If you want cheap and decent ones, I would recommend the Victorinox Steak knives.
If you want the best of the best, then get these: https://www.amazon.com/Dalstrong-Kitchen-Knife-Knives-4-Piec…

Zwilling are pretty good. Never had them rust.

Furi's are decent, depending on the size of your hands. Knives are very personal, hard to recommend without knowing more about you.

I also like the Sabatier & Opinel brands.

Try to get some with full tangs.

Quality steak knives that are NOT serrated are far more pleasant to use - do require periodic sharpening but well worth tracking down if you eat large cuts of meat regularly.
