the Google AI says Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

        • Yeh I was like this can't be it

Anyone who has one: does think accommodate phones with thicker phone cases?

    • +2

Tested on wife's phone s24 ultra with padded cover which is reasonably thick, worked fine

    • I do and it holds on tight as 😀

  • +1

    Thanks Op. nice find

Whats the ideal flagship phone to holder cost ratio you think?

      • +5

Got myself a iOttie Easy One Touch 5 Dash & Windshield Mount for around $30. Hasn't moved a micro millimetre in 3 years through the scorching summer and the coldest of Victorian winters with ice on the windscreen under the carport. I'm highly confident the $27 price difference was absolutely well worth it.

        • +1

Not sure why the negs - thanks for the alternate viewpoint and considered response.

I’d probably trust this $3 cheapie with my iPhone 8, but think again if I had the latest models. As the old saying goes: a poor man pays twice.

          • @MattyD: No worries at all mate. If they neg me down, I shall become more powerful than they can possibly imagine 🤣
I agree, average phones no doubt are fine. One thing I recall was the awesome quality of the 3M sticky parts and options - they seemed industrial grade and time has proven there is something to that.

I have the same mount as @seamonkey and the same experience - still going strong after just about 4yrs now.

    • $2000 phone lol

Then wait until it goes back to its normal price then buy it.

  • Ordered 3, cheers

  • +1

Perfect, ordered two, one of each of the cars. Thank you, OP

    • +2

      no spares?

      • +2

        Will wait for another deal!

The previous one (different design) lasted over 7 years…

  • Haven't received all refunds from the monitor mount orders yet.

    • +2

Bunnings should always be done instore. They don't put stock aside for C&C so the chances of it going is pretty high.

  • +1

Got a call from bunnings casula , they had all sold out despite online purchase and cancelled the order . They said no stores have stocks.

  • +1

$2.85 with PowerPass 😅. Local store says they have stock I’ll try my luck!

    • Which store?

    • “Hello we have been unable to locate these items this evening but we will get the merchandising team that is on in the morning to try and locate them you will be contacted when your order is ready thankyou”
Hopefully have an update on the morning.

  • bought 1 found it sturdy, ordered 2 extra spares

So if its so sturdy, why do you need TWO spares? In case your car gets stolen? Twice?

    • +2

I’d say one for back-up, and one just in case the the first spare gets lonely.

    • +1

Sturdy doesn't mean permanent, it will wear out work usage, but in a coupe of days

    • I bought one of these and set it up for a friend, while it held on OK to the window and the phone, withing a few weeks it broke at the middle. It wasn't in my car so I can't say why, but apparently it just snapped one day going ofmver a speed hump

    • mine broke in about 3 months - so that's $1 / month for this holder!

  • +1

    Good find OP, Thank you

  • +1

    ty got one

    • Nvm…. Order cancelled.

  • +1

    Thanks, op! Ordered 3

  • ordered two but they cant find them in store.

  • +1

    Someone is brodening them… :D
Went to my local and stock checker said there was 18 before i left the house - I was only 7 minute drive and the entire cardboard display shelf (away from the usual location permanent shelves) has been cleared of window mounts. All cigarette chargers and all variants of cables plenty there. Checked the stock checker and read 0. Bought some cables and cigarette chargers and the guy at the counter comment, the mobile accessories are very popular this afternoon as someone bought "a bunch" of them. I didn't ask if it was the mounts, but the only conclusion i can draw. ha!

    • +1

You will probably see a bunch of them on sale on marketplace/gumtree soon

      • yeah scalpers!

  • Anybody who has spares want to sell one to a poor WA resident with no stock in the state? :(

  • Just bought one pass to get this delivered but its apparently too big…. for anyone else thinking the same thing. Now back on a one pass subscription that ill probably never use like last year

    • Strange, bought 2 and charger. On the way. Maybe dependent on your area?

    • +1

Okay now its working for some reason… weird.

      • did not work for me yesterday, the delivery was $10 with OnePass, ordered for C&C…

  • No stock in north west Sydney that I could see.

  • -2

plastic junk. Buy a metal one from elsewhere.

All the plastic ones are junk and don't last. Short lifespan and then landfill they certainly go.

    • Agree. I had a metal one that lasted me 10 years.

It only got replaced because phones grew so large its clamps couldn't be extended far enough to hold them anymore.

  • No stock everywhere now…..bad

  • +1

This page link is gone, they have another one listed for $11.95 https://www.bunnings.com.au/click-car-phone-holder_p0609483

    • Still works for me and stock available

  • +1

Damn I drove to local bunnings and no stock.

But I still found the aisle and an kind lady staff told me that it was sold out and in their system it was showing -8 in stock. However after someone called earlier enquiring about this phone holder she accidently found one sitting at a wrong place and I was very lucky to have it.

  • Still got stocks in some stores :

  • ordered last night… arrived this morning.. looks decent ..phone grip might not last long

  • +1
